I got confirmation today... no Advanced Swing for Everybody's Golf PS4... it's not even an earnable option  I can't believe that someone would release a golf game on next-gen hardware in 2017, and only offer a backwards-ass, non-realtime horizontal 3-click interface 8O I canceled my pre-order with Amazon.com. The only reason I was able to stomach the anime presentation of the last two was because I liked having a real time swing interface that at least made me rely on the golfer animation for part of the control process.... this is just un-bleepin'-believable!

Was not interested in this game to begin with since I don't have a PS4, but the swing interface decisions are hard to fathom. Certainly a casual user game only.

The advanced swing was the redeeming value of the game, IMO. Without it, it's a relic from the past. It's far more of an affront to me than The Golf Club 2 not having true online multiplayer matchplay or a pre-game "Invite to Game" option... at least we've still got Society Event play, and multiplayer stroke play.

It's a good sign for your well-being that your internet is still working... what's the prognosis for your region now?

If my daughter had not taken my PS4 with her back to college to play Persona 5, I'd be playing Everybody's Golf this week. It looks flipping fantastic.

I may end up buying another one, because my wife is interested in HZD once she finishes up BotW. I never played the PS4 much, but for whatever reason, I've been really excited for EG. I loved Powerstar Golf in the XB1, and this looks like it will blow that away by a lot.

27 inches of rainfall here since Friday.....street flooding, but looks like we may be getting some relief as this thing is going back into the Gulf and going to the east of Houston hopefully.

Now just waiting to see what the accumulated rainfall does to the creeks tributaries and rivers. The Brazos River is predicted to crest at 59' or an 800 year storm level..... 8O

We moved to a new home back in June of last year and our old neighborhood is under mandatory evacuation.....

Thanks for asking JC....

Divot, stay safe. The pictures, videos, and reports on what's happening in Texas is really tough to read and watch. It's really unimaginable. Missouri has had its fair share of flooding, but fortunately I've never been affected.

I completely understand the disappointment in the lack of advanced swing type. Not sure why they would omit that. Either way, it's a non issue for me as I typically prefer the 3 click system of Hot Shots (now Everybody's Golf). I'm also a casual video game golfer. This appeals to me more than The Golf Club series by a long way.

I can't wait to play this game tomorrow and hope they support it for months to come.

As I stated in the "HB Studios Next-Gen golf game: The Golf Club" thread, I'm looking forward more to the release of Everybody's Golf (despite the 3-click swing and goofy animations) than my next round of TGC2.

I think EG will be a good diversion from TGC2 for me.

I'll also have some fun with my grandkids playing EG where TGC2 is way too hard for them. :D

Very happy with what little I have played thus far (18 holes). This game is just so full of atmosphere and fun. In the two matches I've played, there's 3 other CPU players teeing off at the same time. They're running down the course while I'm taking my time. It can be a little nerve racking, but it adds to the craziness. There's definitely quite a bit of RPG elements to the game. Your clubs increase with greater distance and effectiveness the more you use them, granted you hit a good shot. The game is very accessible and relatively easy out of the gate, but I anticipate the challenge to increase as I level up. Currently, I'm at level 3. I have hit a few balls in to the rough but have been able to save par. I hit a second shot from 137 yards out and eagled the hole. It was a pretty cool feeling. There's only one course unlocked from the start and it's a beginner's course. Putting's been fun and I love hearing the other players or fans telling me to relax, take your time, you got this, etc....And when the ball does go in the cup, you hear it from your tv or surround sound speakers, but also from your controller speaker. Love that. I'm ready to challenge the first boss and they each have their own traits and personality. Just another feature that adds to the life of the game.

There's a lot of customization edits you can make for you character. Of course, you earn new accessories and personality traits as you win rounds of golf. Some people won't care about this while others will really create some zany looking characters.

I played last night at 11 and again this morning before work. I'm looking forward to really diving deeper in to this game this evening. So far, it's been a nice change of pace from the serious sports games I'm more accustomed to playing.

Can't really add any more to this initial impression. It's as much fun as I expected it to be! Really looking forward to multiplayer...

As someone who fell in love with Hot Shots Golf on the original Playstation console, I'm a big fan. Sure the game is cartoony and definitely an arcade experience, but there is certainly a level of depth underneath all that. It's one of those games that's easy to pick up and play, but tough to master. Oh, and it's absolutely beautiful in HDR.

Good arcade game of golf, the cute characters add the fun that even my kids want to play. Pretty easy going so far and I hope it gets eventually more challenging. Wished the triangle button would zoom me straight into the area that I want to zoom in instead of pressing the UP button first as in TGC2 but on the other hand the sound of those clubs being hit is better that the product created by HB studios.

A lot of customization available, just a fun little game of golf.

I'm currently at level 6 and ranked up to 2. The challenge is starting to increase now that I'm playing on the Amateur courses. Birdies are not coming as easily as before and I've had a couple bogeys. I'm missing putts I normally would have had no problems with earlier. The greens are a little trickier and less forgiving. I'm not complaining. I'm actually pleased to see this. I'm still trying to figure out the backspin because several of my approached are going further than I would like.

I unlocked a new caddie and have only played one round of 9 with him. Not sure if he brings any further benefits or not. It is a nice change from the overly cheerful Suka. By the way, I experimented in trying out solo play with the pre-order DLC court. Can't remember the exact course name but it was pretty unforgiving. The greens especially were not easy!

Loving this game! I will say if you don't like to grind to level up your player, you may not enjoy it as much as I currently am.

Tried this last night, not for me. Really can't go back to this swing mechanic after years of using advanced swing mechanics.

So many little things I really like, and I haven't even unlocked carting or fishing yet. ;). The entire package is just incredibly polished.

- Practice swing meter during course loading screen.
- Your gallery grows as you progress, follow you from shot to shot.
- Records are kept for everything. Scorecard shows your hole record, including number of putts.
- if you change the tee box, cup type, weather, etc., a new set of records are kept for that course configuration. Love this.
- Clubs improve their abilities the more you use them successfully.
- Turf War multiplayer mode adds a fun layer of strategy where you need to decide what hole you run or warp to next.
- Graphics are fantastic in HDR, and the 5-channel + controller sound is done really well.
- You get to place the ball where you like in the tee box. I expect this will become more strategic on the tougher courses.
- All the cameras are really well done.
- Course management is important. I feel like there is just as much to take into consideration as there is in TGC2
- Risk / reward is present everywhere. From using a power shot to using backspin.
- The beginning tournaments and challenges are definitely easy, very kid friendly, but us more serious gamers have the option to toggle "Serious Mode" for a tougher game and better rewards. They really thought of everything...

I've always been a huge fan of HSG and this one is just as good even with all the wacky stuff going on. I still prefer TGC2 even though I hate the fast greens in the game.

This is unlocked in a later level, pressing L2 will snap you right to the landing spot view. Interesting decision they made to have different camera options unlock as you progress, but I'm still loving the game.

Purchased this morning just based on the positive feedback here and over at OS. Fun factor is all I look for in my gaming these days and it sounds like this one delivers that. Haven't played yet but looking forward to it for sure.

Anyone else really enjoying this game? I find the single player to be a bit of grind, but the course layouts, customization and just overall atmosphere is brilliant.

I absolutely love it. It's a great pick up and play game which fits perfectly for my gaming time. Yeah, it's a bit of a grind, but I'm enjoying taking my time with it. It's definitely up there for my sports game of the year.

I hope we see some dlc in the future.

It's definitely a lot less infuriating than The Golf Club. At least it doesn't have any crazy ass greens that defy the law of physics to deal with. :)

Yup, I was addicted to TGC2, but now it's Everybody's Golf. The gameplay is super fun, challenging and quick. Graphics and presentation are top notch. Can't wait for them to get the daily tournaments going!!
