Okay, that's probably what I'll see when I go back into the menu when I restart TGC 2 again... thanks.

Final round on the PC was so much fun. I was not getting any breaks and before I knew it I was +4 and only had a 3 stroke lead on JC. I started playing more carefully to make sure I got par's. I'd slip in a birdie and then follow with a bogey. I came off the 14th hole with a slim 3 stroke lead and 17 looming. I went birdie on 15, then birdie on 16 and chiped in for an Eagle on 17. I was at even par going into 18 and my drive got away for me and I ended with a double bogey for a final round 72 but a +8 for the tournament. Still only 3 of us playing so someone could certainly jump in and shoot better than that but I felt good about the 4 rounds. Birkdale is all about the bounces and I got all of them in round 3 but today the just went the wrong way a lot.

Glad to finally be competitive, amazing just moving my thumb to a different position has made my swing so much more consistent.

Nope it only shows the leader board of people who have completed as many rounds as you I guess. Plus I don't consider his scores in the realm of mortals. :D

That still puts you at -12, and I'm at what...-7, I think? The pins were really tough for me that round. There was also a hilarious hole where I clubbed UP intending to club DOWN, and scored horribly there.

Wintergreen course might be the best one I've seen so far.

I'm on the road this week and weekend, working a race at Indy. But my son RAVED about Wintergreen in a text to me yesterday. The f*cker shot a 65! :)

Getting frustrated. On the golf course, if my swing is off--I can figure out the problem. In this game, no clue.

If I play a draw or fade, make a good swing (its in the red zone)--sometimes it still doesn't draw or fade. Also, a 5mph wind can blow me to tomorrow at times and 12mph no effect. I must be losing it.

Have you tried the practice swing?

Press down on your swing stick to engage, press down again to take your shot.

I can't say I've seen something like you're describing, but there are times when I'll get a more pronounced effect from a sidehill lie than I would have thought possible. I'd rather have it like that than no effect at all. I'd still say the majority of the time it's balanced pretty well though.

One thing I've noticed is that I find that I'm having too easy a time keeping the swing inside the cone with my PS4 Nacon Revolution Pro controller. I bought it because it has the higher mounted left thumbstick, like the XBox controllers, and that feels much better to me. Now that I've played with it for a month or so, it feels like it's not as sensitive on the X Axis as the stock DS4. What's weird though is every now and then blow a shot and go way outside the cone with it... maybe once or twice a round.

I don't score any better than I do because Nacon is also not as sensitive on the Y axis, and it's hard to regulate putt strength with it because the feedback is not as responsive. I'll keep playing with it for a while, but I enjoy the response I get out of my XBox 360 Silver Edition controller on the PC so much, and the level challenge it gives me, that it feels like I'm playing TGC 2 Lite with the Nacon Pro Revolution on the PS4. I'd go with the stock DS4 controller if I could get the type of feel with my left thumb I'm after, but that lower position of the left thumbstick on the controller body puts me in handcuffs!

Hit everything right in my last round at Birkdale. Just couldn't correct it (got in one of those funks). Oh well. And f*** Royal Birkdale by the way.

I'd have settled for hitting everything right in my final round at Birkdale, over hitting nothing at all in the PS4 tournament. I had a 13 stroke lead going into the final round and wasn't able to squeeze my final round in. I only got two rounds in of the XBox One tournament, but the more I played that one, the further away I got from the lead. I suddenly developed some serious tempo problems with the XBox One Elite controller on the XB1 version.

I enjoyed the tournaments though, but I need to discipline myself as to when to get my rounds in on the 72 hole events. Would it work better if we alloted five days for the 72 hole tournament and only had two dailies a week?

I think that's what Vader did this weekend. Royal started on Wednesday and finished last night, and there a couple of dailies coming up starting today.

Divot shot a -31 in the PC Open. Not even sure how that is possible.

At least I wasn't in last place for once.

Play golf games almost exclusively for 25+ years is how.

Had a True Sim Tournament on TGC Tours and the winner shot -32 with no aids. I was a distant 2nd at -20. Same course. The guy that won is a legit player.

Doubt I'll play any Tournaments til Friday as I'm jammed up teaching this week.

Didn't mean it as an insult, just best round I shot was -7 so far, but that was once in a blue moon round. I'm still using player clubs so hitting 4-6 irons into greens is tough proposition.

-32 with no aids, that is just nuts.

No aids or not, -31 is a great score on this course. My game came off the rails in the PC tournament, and later in the XBox One tournament, because I suddenly started having tempo management problems. It didn't matter whether I was using an Elite controller or my XBox 360 Silver Edition controller, I was hitting perfect/perfect tempo maybe 50 to 60% of the time. When I'm playing my best, it's more like 80 to 85%.

Let me ask you this Tim, what's your average % on hitting perfect tempo in TGC 2? Is there a thought you keep in mind when swinging to keep focused on it?

I've played with your ghost in some of the tournament rounds and I can see that you have exceptional scrambling ability, and you also leave yourself shorter par putts than most people I've played with. I'm trying to apply some of what I've learned about long putts - not that you leave that many long putts to my game, but it just kills me when I leave a birdie putt inches short of the cup.

Per the PS4 daily... Couldn't possibly hate that course more. Nothing realistic about it... surprised there weren't sticks of C4 at the pin and dancing clowns running out of the woods :)

Oh no Dan, did not take it as such and I was trying to be as humble as possible with my reply. I just play alot more Golf games than you guys do, so I should play better.

You are improving well and it won't be long until you are posting sub par tournaments.....

And I agree.....-32 with no aids is crazy, but the guy is just really talented.

Probably 80% on P/P shots John. Some rounds like round 2, I was 20% and all over the place which is why I scored -2. Round 4 shot a 60 and I am not sure how as I played it in like 20 minutes as I was in a hurry to finsih the tournament before Family came over for dinner.

Putting is hit or miss too....you haven't played my ghost when I have an 8' downhill putt turn into as 19' putt uphill with break.....When putting for birdies on relatively flat surfaces, I putt firm. When there is L>R and R>L slope, I putt not to miss more than 3-4 feet on the comebacker. Downhill putts I normally do pretty well on, but sometimes I will leave a 20' downhipp putt 10 feet short.....that is fun with breaking putts....

The tournaments where I see Tim's score have given me a new perspective for "normal" guys racing against me in console games, as arrogant as that sounds. It's like I feel I am doing better, and then here he comes just absolutely wrecking any confidence I had developed, and I have no idea how to get better at this point. :?

After a while it's like "ah, f*ck it, it's no use!"

Reebdoog has released Hyperion Fields....one of my favs from Beta!

I'll add pictures later on!

Par 72
7577 yards from the tips
Delta Theme

This course started as a way to play with splines to create unique bunker shapes and then turned into a really nice track. There's something for everyone here I think. Dramatic bunkering (maybe a tad unrealistic but hey it's a game right?), Some tricky side-hill lies, wide fairways, tighter landing areas mixed in, small greens, large greens, water....a bit of everything I think.

There are four tees and four pins which should provide some variety from round to round.

I'll get pictures up as soon as I can but for now go out and have a good time! I'm guessing we'll see rounds all over the board here from 50s to 80 depending on wind and how you're swinging that day.

Feel free to leave feedback or just say you gave it a play. LAter!

Wish the game had a proper lobby and peer to peer online MP so we could group up and I could share with you guys what I do and how I do it.
