I am 99% in for the XB1. Would be nice if HBS got this Play anywhere enabled, so that PC and XB1 could play together. Would be double nice if Sony got over themselves are started allowing for cross play among all the consoles.

Hoping that the X1X will get access to the PC assets and run in 4K natively.

Watching all those game videos and playing FH3 with HDR really makes me wish RMPGAT would get HDR going on the game, or get them to put out a sequel. RMPGAT in 4K HDR might become one of the most beautiful games on a console ever.

While TGC2 looks great, and much better than the the its first game, it's still a long ways off of those licensed courses in EA's game.

Speaking of Societies, I'd like to form one for DSP if there's enough interest. The problem is that it wouldn't be an "official" society so it would be platform specific. I'm probably going to be playing most of TGC 2 golf on the PC, so I'd be willing to create a DSP Society on the PC version.

It appears that the larger share of DSP'ers who are interested in TGC 2 are XBox One owners. I may also pick up the XBox One version of the game and wouldn't mind acting as an admin for a Society on the XB1 version, although I might not always have time to play every event.

I do have the PS4 DVD version on order with Amazon.com, and there again, I could set up a Society there as an admin, but couldn't promise to participate in all the events. I don't know how much interest there might be in a PS4 version Society here.

The advantage to having one admin across three platforms is that there could at least be consistency among them as they could all be set to have the same tournaments on the same course, at the same time. That would help give some common reference to discussions here in the DSP forum. We'll have a better idea of how this will work upon release. I know it was still in a state of flux when the beta ended, so I'm not sure what we'll have in enough detail to talk specifics.

If you think there's a shot they'd grant Official Society status to DSP, that would be cool. I wonder if they'd be willing to do it for a private Society though? But yeah, I'm all for it... that would definitely give a DSP season a more cohesive feel.

If the PC version I played during the beta is any indication, it should be at least 20% faster than TGC 1.

I need to make a correction to something I said earlier that would suggest an "Official" Society would have a cross platform leaderboard. That is not the case, as I later learned. An Official Society administrator has the ability to create competitions across all three platforms that would use the same course and conditions, tees and pins, but users on XBox One wouldn't be able to see the scores of those on PS4 or PC, and vice versa.

I don't know why they couldn't have a web based leaderboard that would be cross platform compatible though, but that's probably beyond the scope of what HB Studios is trying to do at this time. That being said, an Official Society would be a better start for a Society that planned to have participation across three platforms.

I got an e-mail from Amazon.com confirming that my Amazon Prime order for The Golf Club 2 (PS4) would be shipped such that it would arrive on June 27th. I wasn't expecting to get a release day delivery from a service that's normally 2nd day shipping, but I'll take it. I've got a preorder in for the Digital version on the PC via Steam, so I should be playing that one shortly after midnight on the 27th

I'll probably cave and get the XBox One version preordered with Amazon. For $31.99, it's hard not to jump on it!

As soon as the game is released, I will send a message to the Producer and see what chances we have of getting an "Official society" which would allow us to have the same conditions and leaderboards across platforms, but not cross-play online.
