I'm still waiting for the Le Mans Ford GT code. Anyone have an extra code to share. PM me, lol?

Edit: Thanks for the code 10's :)

DChaps wrote:Thanks so much Terry, that seems to have done the trick. As you said, it is pretty straight forward, even for someone like me. I found a post that shows pictures. DSP comes through again!

http://www.isrtv.com/forums/topic/16802 ... er-tx-458/

In the meantime, I also found that Walmart has the Thrustmaster TX on sale right for $299, and I just might order another one for "backup" now that my son is getting into racing sims as well.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Thrustmaster- ... e/29472162
So the Indy 500 qualifications got me pumped up to do some Indycar racing in Forza 6 and so I broke out my relatively new Thrustmaster TX wheel that I bought back at Christmas to replace the one I had that finally gave up the ghost, and now this one has a problem with the brake pedal. It either does not respond at all (FM6, FH3, F1 2016) or it is like at 25% of full calibration (DiRT Rally, Nascar Heat Evolution). I connected it to the PC and same thing. iRacing shows it at about 25% when I have it pressed down as hard as I can and recalibrating does not do anything to help. Frustrating as I love these wheels when they work, but man the quality leaves something to be desired. Now I have two nice non-working Thrustmaster TX wheels.

I just suck racing with a regular controller, but I am so pumped up for the Indy 500 that I am willing to host some FM6 Indycar racing the next few nights at around 10:30pm EDT if anyone else is up for it and still has FM6. In FM6 we can race modern Indycars (2015), early 90's (Arie), and late 60s (Mario), if you have the DLC. I know it's a long shot but putting it out there anyway.

PS - Gamertag: BCKracer71 has some amazing 2017 and 2016 updated Indycar liveries including Dixon and Alonso's "McLaren"

I'd find a way to hook my stuff up to the XBox for a chance at this, if there's enough people. Not a big interest in running a bunch of randoms, that's for sure.

I know the Nascar expansion is lacking but at $5 I thought oh what the heck i'll bite. Now waiting for the Porsche expansion to hit the same price point.

Don, I'd sign up if we got a bit more interest. I don't have the DLC but I can fix that easily enough.

Rod, the Porsche expansion was down to that price a few weeks ago - a couple of months, tops - and for reasons unknown, I didn't sit down to buy it until about an hour after the deal expired. Tempted by the NASCAR expansion as a means of filling in time while I wait for the Porsche pack to come around again, but is it worth it?

Wow, I would've snatched up the Porsche expansion myself at that price if I had known. I'd say the Nascar expansion is worth $5. The handling seems a little off, maybe I need to turn off some driving assists I'm not aware off. You get 24 cars and Homestead Speedway which looks really nice. For $5 it's a no-brainer at least for me.

All the talk about Forza in the E3 thread motivated me to fire this back up again. I didn't realize just how little I played this, for whatever reason, when it came out. I actually had to reinstall the game from the disk, but man I'm having fun with it now. It's definitely quite the looker and I'm thankful for you guys debating Forza in that thread. I'm LTTP, but will be enjoying this for the foreseeable future.

24 Hours of Le Mans Rivals Challenge:

In preparation for tomorrows actual race, I logged into Forza 6 and much to my surprise found that my Friends Leaderboards in Rivals for P Class were pretty much void of any clean laps at Le Mans.

So I fired up my favorite 1991 #55 Mazda 787B P974, in default trim (no upgrades, no setup, all assists off, hardcore mode) and after several sad attempts, finally posted a clean lap under 4:00 minutes (3:59 to be exact). Right now that is technically the top DSP P Class leaderboard time based on clean laps. My Gamertag is DChaps66 for anyone who does not have me on their friends list.

So here is the challenge: Post a time to the P Class Le Mans Rivals Leaderboard (Day and Dry track version) using any of the P Class Cars from the Endurance Prototypes division. There are 27 total available with 11 of them being from DLC. Therefore, there should be plenty to choose from. Feel free to upgrade them, use setups, and use whatever assists you want, as long as you stay within the P Class using Endurance Prototypes. You will have until 3:00am EDT Monday June 19. Xbox $10 Gift Card - Digital Code to the winner, and one $10 Gift Card to random draw from anyone else who posts a lap before the deadline.

You can see the list of the P Class Endurance Prototypes here:
http://www.kudosprime.com/f6/carlist.php?cartype=7

Below is my crappy 3:59 lap, use it as motivation. :)

I did a couple of laps in the Ferrari and Ford GTE cars released on iRacing last week, and barely cracked 4 minutes...so I don't think that's all that bad, Don! I think the pole sitter had a 3:48 or something, and for a track that big, 3:59 is nothing to sneeze at, sir.

The P1 pole sitter this year at Le Mans? 3:14.791 by Kamui Kobayashi in the Toyota Prototype. All-time record for the current circuit. INSANE.

Get THAT one, Terry! :)

I so want to attend this event sometime soon. I know you are working, but enjoy! I assume there are not live streams of any of these races/exhibitions.

Live stream at SVRA website. But the stream is subscription-based.

VERY cool event.

Not sure - I ran a few on Monday (Don, I may have been a couple of hours late, in fact, so disregard my time if so) and I'm sure a couple of others did too but I don't think I have everyone who took part added to my Friends list.

Did you get down into the 3:20s (or teens?!?!), Adam? I ran a few laps but kept hitting the kerb and had the time invalidated, and eventually just stopped giving a crap

3:27.2, if I'm remembering right, mate. There's probably 4 or 5 seconds left in it, a big chunk of that in the first mile of the lap, where I started off lousy and got steadily worse.

I didn't find them because my daughter is just starting to copy some of the words her Dad says, and after 6 or 7 laps spent driving like a tosser at the same points every lap, I was about to expand her vocabulary in a number of ways that her Mam would barely have laughed at all about...

Hi All, sorry for the delay, I did get a screenshot of the final results and I believe Adam did get his 3:27 posted in time (Nice Run!). I saved that screenshot to One Drive and to my Drop Box, but I am just realizing that both services have eliminated the ability to share a file with the public unless you are on a pay version of the product. Can't figure out how to just embed the image now in the post. Let me know if this link below works and that you can see the results. I thought there used to be an easier way to publicly share screenshots from Xbox One and embed the image in a post. Anyway, again sorry for the delay.

Official Competitors results from the weekend were as follows:

1) theycallhimsim - 03:27.271 (1492 overall)
2) Rockjaw McGraw - 03:31.439 (2670 overall)
3) DChaps66 - 03:50.251 (8495 overall)
4) Wilk5280 - 03:55.005 (9105 overall)

Thanks again to everyone who participated. Wilk5280 won the random drawing. Please check your PM's later today for your Xbox Gift Card codes.

Thanks Don, but I wasn't remotely happy with it. Been back tonight for another go and managed a 3:26.7 from standing, 3:23 flat from a rolling start. Still haven't strung a full lap together but not sure I'm leaving a massive amount on the table now - maybe a second, tops.

That I cared enough to go back for another try, having somehow managed to not play Forza 6 for over a year, is testament to just how bloody good this game is.

Same--I turned a couple of laps on Saturday morning, and figured I'd go back to see who beat it later. Got sidetracked with house crap and never did, but I may hop back on just to try to chase you down, Adam!

I lost probably 10 seconds out there just overcooking a corner, and if you lose corner exit speed at Le Mans, there's 1 to 3 seconds lost on the next straight.

Re: Forza 6

Post by DChaps »

There are 16 weeks until Forza 7 is released. Last weeks LeMans Rivals challenge was so much fun that even with limited time and participation, it still got me excited for racing and enjoying Forza 6. Therefore, I propose to have 2 Rivals Challenges for the next 16 weeks of different tracks and cars depending on what is going on in the real world of racing, historical anniversaries, or just car/track combinations that have no times posted on my friends list. I will also try to keep it at default cars and tracks so that anyone who did not buy DLC and Season Car Pass can all play along. So with Indycars at Road America and Nascar at Sonoma this weekend the two rivals challenges this week are as follows:

Week1 Rivals Challenges:

Indycars at Road America (Full):

X Class - Any setup, Any Assists that you want to use. dave2eleven is the only one on my friends list currently with a clean lap time -1:49
http://www.kudosprime.com/f6/carlist.php?cartype=15

Can-Am at Sonoma (Short)

R Class - Any setup, Any Assists that you want to use. No times posted from my friends list to date.
