Someone on yesterday's stream asked if the game would be enhanced for the PS4 Pro and the Scorpio and they weren't sure or couldn't answer. Merace had a question answered on the streamDivotMaker wrote:All I am aware of is that both will be 1080p.Rodster wrote:Will there be a graphical difference between the PS4 and XONE again this time? Just wondering if the devs have indicated if both versions will be graphically identical this time around?

I'm sure it will run better right out of the gate. From all I've read, if a game doesn't have a locked frame rate, the Scorpio will run it at a faster frame rate, which in the case of this game, will make a HUGE difference in the way it looks, but more importantly "feels". What I'm wondering with The Golf Club 2 is whether HBS will make higher resolution graphics and textures available to Scorpio owners.Diablo25 wrote:I certainly hope the game runs better on the Scorpio. It's a no brainer really.

TGC2 is the only game on my radar until Destiny in September. Good for my wallet and with any luck, will clear up some of my backlog. But TGC2 will definitely be getting my support!Diablo25 wrote:All of these E3 trailers and my #1 most anticipated game is still TGC2. Two weeks baby.

He played more than 200 holes of TGC yesterday. In one day! Yeah, I know. But he had a final exam yesterday morning and played in a five-game soccer tournament in 90-degree heat Sunday, so I let him loaf until I forced him to cut the lawn last night.

I think TGC2 is going to rock yours and your son's world from a gameplay perspective......the swing is a HUGE improvement over the first game.

I can attest to what DivotMaker (Tim) is saying here... the new swing interface has opened up a new dimension for this game. It requires you to control more variables in the process of swinging the club, without making anything feel contrived. I couldn't fully explain it even if I violated the NDA in an attempt to do so, let alone do it with my hands tied like they are!DivotMaker wrote: Hi Pete,

Much of the cynicism and negativity can be traced back to him opening his piehole when he should not have said a thing.
Re: HB Studios Next-Gen golf game: The Golf Club
Yeah, he must have gotten an exclusive pass. I think what's going on there is he is sore because the game isn't going to have all the multiplayer functionality he wants at release. I think HBS will address some of those issues and have it up to snuff in reasonably short order.MERACE wrote:J_Cauthen wrote:TheTruth wrote: Based on some posts that I've read on the TGC2 forums it seems like the NDA was lifted for some beta members (johneric).![]()
I can't emphasize enough just how special this game feels though... this interface is truly unique and multifaceted. I couldn't keep my hands off of it during the beta because it just kept tugging on my senses and appealing to my golf instincts. It wouldn't surprise me to see this game surpass the last one in sales, as I think it will have a broader appeal with three difficulty levels, a custom character creator, Societies... and as previously stated - a swing interface that will sink its hooks into you deeper and deeper over time
Re: HB Studios Next-Gen golf game: The Golf Club
For Clubs, Multiplayer, Leagues, etc. I just wish for some simple things:
1) Web Based Stat Tracking
2) Option to only show scores to you as you progress through a tournament (for example, Divot completes all 4 rounds in a day, but I don't start playing until later on in the week. I only see his scores as it pertains to the hole I am on as I progress through rounds).
3) Scoring across multiple tournaments
4) Admin abilities to adjust scoring system, update stats, etc.

Re: HB Studios Next-Gen golf game: The Golf Club
All of those are important to me as well Don. I'm not sure we'll ever see #1 in TGC 2, but it's been asked about multiple times.DChaps wrote:For Clubs, Multiplayer, Leagues, etc. I just wish for some simple things:

We had #2, to a degree in TGC 1, although I think the leaderboard would show players up to maybe 9 or 10 holes ahead of you in the current round, as you teed off. However, it was also show players playing behind you after you teed off. I can't comment on how TGC 2 is going to handle this yet because of the NDA, and the fact that I suspect it might change from the way it was when the beta ended. This is a HUGE point of emphasis more me though
#3, do you mean multiple tournaments or multiple platforms with the same tournament? They have come out and said that there will be cross platform leaderboards for official societies, but non-official societies would be platform specific only.
I think a lot of the scoring and stats will be handled automatically within the Society by the game engine. I can't say at this time how much flexibility the admin will have, but they have said this will be an evolving feature.
Re: HB Studios Next-Gen golf game: The Golf Club
That sort of stuff is not at all helpful to developers in a beta context. I'm sure HBS will deal with it accordingly.DivotMaker wrote: He doesn't and HBS are not happy with him and a couple other NDA violators. He's a big mouthed blow hard that is seriously misinformed.

Re: HB Studios Next-Gen golf game: The Golf Club
Speaking of Societies, I'd like to form one for DSP if there's enough interest. The problem is that it wouldn't be an "official" society so it would be platform specific. I'm probably going to be playing most of TGC 2 golf on the PC, so I'd be willing to create a DSP Society on the PC version.
It appears that the larger share of DSP'ers who are interested in TGC 2 are XBox One owners. I may also pick up the XBox One version of the game and wouldn't mind acting as an admin for a Society on the XB1 version, although I might not always have time to play every event.
I do have the PS4 DVD version on order with Amazon.com, and there again, I could set up a Society there as an admin, but couldn't promise to participate in all the events. I don't know how much interest there might be in a PS4 version Society here.
The advantage to having one admin across three platforms is that there could at least be consistency among them as they could all be set to have the same tournaments on the same course, at the same time. That would help give some common reference to discussions here in the DSP forum. We'll have a better idea of how this will work upon release. I know it was still in a state of flux when the beta ended, so I'm not sure what we'll have in enough detail to talk specifics.

Oh nooo, by nature and in real life, I just hit the ball left. I better get used to that interface you guys are all craving about. Regarding Societies, I have the Xbox One digital version loaded so I am for that. Couple of more weeks.
