Jumping ship....

Post by tjung0831 »

Well since it´s my first post here at DS I thought I´d bring some news. Here are some videos of 989´s Gamebreaker 2004. Still waiting for some movies of Gameday. I know it´s 989 and there isn´t much love for it but the videos of Gamebreaker don´t look too bad. There are a lot of choices for football games this year. Who knows maybe 989 will suprise this year. Check them out...

Wheeee! Jumping ship is quite fun... especially when jumping on such a well-polished and feature-filled ship as this one.

Oh, Gamebreaker! I don´t trust 989 at all anymore, but we´ll see. I think they´ve lost most of their fans, but they still have a decent marketing department.. saw a commercial that was quite amusing today. Now if they could only take that money and put it into development.
Welcome aboard, man. I must admit that your final post at SR was one of the more eloquent I´ve read about the whole situation over there. Makes all my verbal diarrhea look, no pun intended, shitty!

Tim,
Thanks for the link. Those movies looked pretty damn good. I liked Gameday last year even with its flaws and will be picking it up again this year. After watching the Gamebreaker movies I am definitely more intrigued then I was before. I know 989 is nowhere near the competition right now but I love football games and keep hoping they´ll regain their former glory. It´s been a long ride but each year they keep getting closer. Let´s see what this year has in store for them.

As far as your jumping ship is concerned, I don´t blame you at all. I´ve been posting here for a while now and the past few weeks have been really bad at SR. I am thoroughly convinced that Matt has lost his mind and it´s sad. This new Mr. Clean image of his is ridiculous and the regulars who made the site what it is (no disrespect to Matt for putting up a good site in the past, but the forum regulars made it the place to be not the site) need to make a statement and just leave. Let him have his 6 year old mentality website. There is always Digital Sports and maybe even another website out there that will suit our needs. It´s gotten so bad at SR that I haven´t even seen a VinnyB post in quite a long time.

Tim,

Welcome. And I´d like to hope that Gameday will rock, but last year´s version was soooo poor that they´ve got a lot of ground to make up. Maybe they were working on a new engine last year and just dumped out whatever on the public to have a release. Maybe it´ll be the sleeper pick of 2003.

Or it´ll just blow chunks this year too.

Two haircuts? Man, is she Demi Moore circa "Ghost" or are you Cornelius from the "Planet of the Apes," with descending traits?
