I picked NSH over CHI and think all those putting CHI straight through the West were putting too much stock in past success, experience and leadership. Still not over yet, though.

I also though Minny would win. In the first part of the season they were winning because Dubnyk was amazing. In the second half of the season they were winning despite Dubnyk sucking. Either way, they need a win today.

I still think the West is wide open, and the East is the Caps to lose.

Blues up 3-0! Three tough, nail biting games, but the boys in Blue gutted out the tight wins. Now they get two days off to come back strong and wrap this up on Wednesday.

Let's Go Blues!

Really?

After the last decade of playoff disgrace?

I really need to see something in the playoffs from these clowns.

I just see them as the most complete team in hockey, and I don't see who's going to beat them. Pens don't have same swagger as last year and no Letang. Also, definitely better than MTL and BOS, assuming they win their 1st round series.

Of course the Caps have found a way to lose it with good teams in the past. My main point being that if the Caps play to their ability the East is theirs, though.

Again. I know you watch.

They are not a playoff team.

They are big cowards.

Sweet win Habs.

Rangers have dolls eyes.

DEAD

So lucky to have that win in game one.

EXTREMELY undeserved.

Radulov's goal was pure strength and skill. Nice win by the Habs to regain home advantage. I haven't noticed Kreider yet in the series, they need his dirty deeds.

Dubinsky could and should have won the OT game vs the Pens but now it's just a matter of time for Torts team.

Sharks missed big Joe dearly and they need him tonight to fence off those pesky Oils.

Maybe, but they're much deeper than the classic choking caps. Holtby >> Theodore, Varlamov. Gone is Semin, in are Williams and Oshie. Kuznetsov far better second line center than anything they had several years ago. Also defense very solid too compared to Mike Green and a bunch of random dudes.

Best roster in hockey IMO. Just have to go out and do it.

Despite the series being tied at 1-1, Sharks have been the better team in the first couple of games. Tonight was a coin flip and Oils took a big win as Zach Kassian is probably playing the best hockey of his career using his size and physical play. He always had the soft hands but was rather immature in his days with the Canucks and Habs.

EDM is doing a good job in controlling Burnsie, and Talbot has been their best player. Thornton was back also for the Sharks creating some good chances, this series will probably go to the end as I predicted.

It's Kassian's world. The rest of us are just living in it.

Actually...

Kings don't make the playoffs, you have tons of time on your hands, and that's the best you can come up with Jimmy? Tsk tsk, too much craft beer. :P

I do have a reason i'm even more lame than usual lately, but you'll have to see another thread on that......

The Sens-Bruins series has been perhaps the most physical one of them all. Leafs ties the score, two beauties going on right now...

The hockey has been terrific in the first round.

Except for the hawks. They have been horrible.

Maybe they join the fray tonight?

Third OT in a row for the Leafs-Caps, and the Bozak line who's been quiet until tonight does the deed. Something is wrong with me, I am cheering for Leafs nation.

The other OT game is about to start.

The Ontario teams are up 2-1. Bobby Ryan redeems himself after an earlier giveaway that led to a Bruins' goal. You should check the pass that Karlsson made to Hopman, even Tom Brady would be proud and what a nice finish.

The other Canadian team is off to a great start too as they are up by two in the first. Although they trail in the series 2-0 to the Ducks, it's been a close series.

And then that other Canadian team is tied heading into OT. They play it so tough, but being up by 2 with 10 to play and then going to OT? That has to be disheartening.

Yep, Flames should have taken control over this game, although I thought the Thompson goal looked like a high stick to me. Looks like the night of OT's for sure.

As I was saying earlier, the first round has been great to watch, I can imagine how exciting it is to be cheering for your team.

NAS has been more aggressive in OT and are in total heaven. The Forsberg line was great, other than just a period they were the better team tonight.
