I'll get my kid to stop blowing everybody up at the end of the night (and, for the record, I'll stop randomly C4'ing your chopper, Teal!)

I know he and his buddies liked blowing each other up in their games...trying to find out how high they could blow a team mate with an explosive barrel or something, so I did something similar the night before. But I know it'll get irritating overdoing it, and I had a little chat about it with him after we signed off last night.

Game never fails to deliver, regardless. I just wish you bastards would get on earlier!

No worries, Terry. I'm actually starting to expect and enjoy the Darren Detonation at the end of games. :)

Start earlier? Damn, we figured our night-owl gaming on the East Coast would dovetail perfectly with your schedule on the Left Coast!

Aside from a dinner break somewhere around 6ish PT, I'm usually able to hop on any time after 3PM most evenings, unless I'm in an iRacing league race or something.

I should be on starting about that time this evening. I can't stay up much later than 10:30et if I'm working.

Good times again last night, fellas. Fun taking the fight to UNIDAD for a change instead of having them show up to spoil other missions.

WE WERE MEN.

Plus you cats provided the perfect confessional for my tragic beer mistake, buying a 12-pack of Busch. Thanks for having me and hearing me! :)

I still can't believe you actually bought that piss water...lol. You'd have been better served buying a case of gum... . Fun times as usual, fellas. I'm looking forward to the advent of the 4v4 PVP mode, so that more guys can be included in the shooting fun. This one will have legs for me for a long, long time.

Oh, I'll canyon race you in a chopper and win every time!

The thing that irritates me about their flying model is the "3-speed" method. In speed 1, you're in constant hover. Then, you hit speed 2, and you can't really 'turn' it any more, only rotate it, and it gives you minimal strafing ability. But, of course, it will eventually climb or speed up and get out of that strafe, as well. Then, finally, you hit speed 3, and can cruise.

But last night over that dirt road tailing the guy, I was STUCK in speed 2, and the only way out of it would have been to hold both triggers to force it into a hover, and then spin it around (in hindsight, I should have done that immediately when I got too far away). I kept expecting the f***in thing to speed up and let me bank it, but it never would. It just kept in that slow "speed 2 drift", which was maddening.

A case of gum! Now there's an idea.

I'm always on the lookout for cheap, good vices. I have found it with tequila. Piedra Azul isn't as good as Patron or Avion, but it's pretty damn close for only $20 per bottle, $30 less than Patron and Avion. Far better than other tequilas at the $20-25 price point.

PBR is my go-to cheap beer. Labatt's Blue is solid beer, a step above PBR. But it's so ubiquitous around here that I can get it cheap, too. Busch was a whim. A dumb whim. My intestines weep.

I was telling Teal I'd never played the sniper role in any game (other than Sniper Elite, naturally). But I tried it the other night in Wildlands, and I'm hooked.

Awesome shot. I feel like the bullet drop in Wildlands is slightly exaggerated. It's better with the ranged elite perk, but it still feels a little too loose at times.

I actually did that last night, but didn't record it! I was stunned when a single sniper shot blew up a chopper. I managed to hit the pilot in a single shot as it flew in, but then I couldn't recreate it the rest of the night, and I tried probably 50 times :(

Nice shot, Terry!

Didn't you have a sniper kill of 400-plus meters last night, too? I had a kill from about 240 meters and thought I was hot sh*t!

Sorry for adding to your headache last night, Teal. I'll give you guys some breathing room the next few nights. Enjoy.

Nonsense on the breathing room! I think Teal was just exhausted from fighting wave after wave of Unidad guys for 45 minutes last night and wanted to get to doing something else

And yep, according to my Ghost Profile, last night's record in our session (for me) was

I knew it was long, I just didn't know how long it was for sure.

Paul, I did one more mission with Teal after you guys left, dude is cool. Jason, that was tense city. I think it's your 8 pieces of chewing gum that's annoying.

Terry, check the feed I took of you flying the plane very low and then sticking it to the ground. I can't tell you how many times I thought I was going to die. :D

LOL--yeah, sorry about that. I've just learned to stay as low as humanly possible to avoid getting an AA missile up the cornhole! Doesn't make for a stress-free flight, however...and there WILL be the occasional death-by-mountain-impact when I'm stuck in "speed phase 2" with a chopper :(

518! Damn, that's the GR:W equivalent of Reggie Jackson hitting a ball out of Tiger Stadium, over the light tower, in the All-Star Game!

STRONG. You shot like a MAN.

Nice shot! I hate that I forget, half the time, to tell xbox to record something cool. I would have told it to record that ridiculous missile-dodging-banking-inches-from-the-side-of-a-mountain-adrenaline-inducing-plane-ride, but I was seriously so clammy handed after that, I simply forgot...lol.

James, that mission was indeed, INTENSE. We had to steal a truck, drive into a heavily guarded base, sneak through the base absolutely undetected, steal some files, and get out the way we came in. James had to kill one guy who happened upon us (before he fully "noticed" us), but that was it. We snuck back to the truck, and slowly drove right back out. Insane fun!

And Paul, you honestly had nothing to do with the onset of my headache last night. You were just in the path of the tornado, pal...lol. I woke this morning with an awful migraine (I get them from time to time, leftovers of my brush with death vis a vis that partially dissected cerebral artery tear several years ago), and when I feel it coming on, I get pretty damned cranky...lol. But I WILL admit that sometimes, I don't particularly like playing "horde mode" with the Unidad... :D I usually have two modes of play in GRW: "Get sh*t done" and "blow sh*t up". Last night, I was leaning more toward the former. However, I'll be fine the next time we play. The pain finally subsided around 9:30 this morning. Sorry you had to bear the brunt of my ailments...

That was epic. Was luck would have it, I was in my loadout fiddling with guns. I hit B to return to game, just in time to see a missile streak past my camera, and a mountain coming into view at 100MPH. The tail ducks down, SOMEHOW you get the wings at the perfect angle to match the mountainside, miss the rocks by about a foot, and keep it controlled enough to pull away...and then land it on the runway at like a 30 degree "off" angle to the runway from the approach they want you to take. It was like dropping a 3 wood onto a 15 foot green from 230 yards out.

I was just surprised A) we lived, and B) we finished that ridiculous plane heist in the first place, but that was some of the best flying I've seen.
