I always loved Bill's many roles as a character actor as well as his meatier roles like the tormented father in Frailty.

A testament to his career's quality and length that everyone is highlighting different roles as his finest.

My mind immediately went to "A Simple Plan" which is a tremendous flick. If you haven't seen it, it's worth tracking down.

Dude had some kind of acting range. My favorite Paxton role: Fred Haise in "Apollo 13."

Without a doubt my two favorite roles of his will always be in Apollo 13 and Weird Science.
