XBox One AND PS4 Discussion

Fallout 4 was one of those games I told myself that if I bought it, I would never finish it for sure. Not only that, I think I only got a couple of hours of gameplay. There's a big update coming up for the PS4 where the graphics will get a big boost for those players that have the PS Pro along some mods updates. Looking forward to that and catch up more with the game.

Doesn't MS provide some kind of access to XBL via the PC?

Anyways the design of the Xbox software would make it possible to virtualize on more powerful PCs so maybe they'd go that route.

That is the direction Microsoft is taking. All of the current and future exclusives are now Play Anywhere. Resident Eveil 7 is the first this party game to jump on the Play Anywhere bandwagon. I think MS needs most publishers to embrace Play Anywhere for it to have a significant effect. Right now it is just a way for PS4 and Switch owners to play Microsoft exclusives without buying an Xbox.

But Play Anywhere is making me consider swapping out my iMac for gaming PC. Would be nice to move from one sth other, using the Cloud for saved games. But I would really want EA and Madden to embrace that.

Reportedly, the "boost mode" update that is part of the next PS4 system update (4.5) improves existing PS4 games that are not "Pro" enhanced. Notably, frame rates and loading times have improved, some more dramatically than others. There's an extensive list of the improvements for a large selection of games.

No amount of rebooting, resetting, or starting the Xbox One from a cold boot gives any different results. You can't sign in, login to Xbox Live, etc. Bascially everything is inoperable at this point as most games and applications required that you are signed in.

Xbox Live Status reports that everything is ok, so I am worried that something bad has happened to my Xbox One:

I had trouble with the amazon app loading a couple of weeks ago and tried hard reboots, uninstalling the app and reinstalling and it still wouldn't work, finally found a reply in amazon comments section to go into network settings on the xbox one and clear the mac address and it does a longer than normal reboot and that fixed it, don't know if that would help with your problem or not. Seems to be weird stuff going on lately with xbox such as last night where I couldn't record or take screenshots but looks to be back this morning.

Yeah, I could not record, take screenshots, or upload previously saved videos to Youtube. Are you on the Xbox One preview program? I think I have the pre-release of the March Xbox update and I am wondering if that may be part of the issue. It used to ask me if I wanted to install those pre-release updates, this one seems to have just installed on its own. I still can't upload videos to Youtube. If I open Youtube, go to the Uploads menu option, it opens a window as if it is going to go to my available videos, then it just closes out of Youtube entirely and goes back to the main Xbox home page.

I'm in the preview program and usually get the updates within the first week they are released but never got the latest update with the new dashboard, I couldn't upload any youtube videos yesterday either, just was a black screen when I went to select a video to upload, works today though. Upload Studio didn't want to load either, says it needs an update but continuously fails the update and it still doesn't work today.

Edit: Uninstalled Upload Studio and then reinstalled and it now works again.

I cant access my game DVR videos on Xbox Live at all. The ones that are on my Xbox are there but its only the ones i have recorded since I got the new dashboard. Plus, I can't SHARE them. I get an error saying something is wrong. Something is definitely up.

I have saved stupid amounts of coin through EA Access.

Madden 17 should be in the Vault soon, so I'm taking advantage of the 50 percent Best Buy trade-in bonus this week and getting $25.50 of BB credit for a trade. That alone almost covers the $29.99 annual price of EA Access, and I'm trading in other games and receiving $82.50 of total BB credit. Ghost Recon: Wildlands and DIRT 4 almost are complete freebies for me since I'm Gamers Club Unlocked, and it's only February.

Incredulous Sony didn't jump on Access train when it first left the station.

I've got a strange issue going on wondering if anyone else has encountered this. Xbox keeps suspending my account because they are trying to charge my card for a year of XBL and my cards is out of date. Here is the kicker, due to buying cards on sale my subscription is good until Jan. 2019 and I also turned off auto renew.

Yet every 3 or 4 days I need to call XBL, deal with some CS person and go through the whole thing again so they reset my account. Yet no one can figure out why it keeps trying to charge my card.

Getting very annoying because those CS calls aren't quick.

The timing was pretty good. The latest patch has really been overwhelmingly received positively, too.

One huge downside is that it seems to have broken the Skills Trainer. It plays in horrid slow motion now. Not sure how that happened, but the skill trainer is pretty awesome.

Someone asked Phil Spencer if it was possible for a 3rd party developer to make a baseball game for the Xbox Scorpio. His response wasn't definitive but he didn't say no.

I'm having a ton of fun with Super Mega Baseball. Dare I say almost as fun as The Show. Super Mega 2 looks even better with more realistic player models.

There has been nothing stopping anyone from making a 3rd party baseball game for XB1 except for the fact that baseball games don't sell well enough to justify someone making one.
