For Honor

Post by TCrouch »

Did nobody else pick this up?

I think I've spent almost every available hour on this incredible game, mostly with a couple of friends. I kept waiting for a post to show up here, but we're 3 days past release and no such luck, so....I'm guessing nobody else is playing it?

Your experience you have conveyed to me with the game differ from many things I have read online. I liked the beta but I didn't think there was enough content to justify $60 and there were constant issues for me connecting to a game. I really don't want to wait 10 minutes for a game session to start. I keep seeing people posting that these connection issues are still occurring.

I figure this will be half price my mid-March so I'm waiting it out.

lol yeah Bloodborne sort of had the same vibe, but For Honor takes that to another level.

I wondered if guys would be just reading stuff online and making decisions, but hey...to each their own. A couple of friends and I do mostly bot matches but then go in and play PvP once in a while. Hilariously, the bots are usually more well-versed and competitive than people.

And the fact that we can play the entire campaign in co-op is a bonus. Haven't had a lot of server issues since I'm almost always in a party with friends, though. The combat system is the deepest, most interesting portrayal of melee combat I've seen.

Yeah the combat system was excellent and I really thought about buying it this week but I just read there were server issues still. If that's not the case I might reconsider. This is PC of course. maybe you're own something else which is why you're not having server issues?

Been playing a ton of PC, but I don't go into random matches much. Mostly vs. AI and then the occasional PvP on PC and Xbox.

Good to know but you having a set group certainly helps. I don't know anyone besides you who bought this so I would be playing Randoms.

I really liked it, but I've been over loaded with games since I came to the party late, and some things just have to fall by the wayside... Lol. I know that I'm going to be putting in a ton of time with GR:W in a couple of weeks, and this sniper elite currently owns me. I still have battlefield, Battlefront, Batman, just cause 3, the division, and just too much else... Lol

My son and I love it. I am terrible and usually shy away from these types of games, but after the beta we were hooked and bought the full version. Really fun co-op. I agree with Teal, there are almost too many really good, deep games out there. Battlefield, Battlefront, Just Cause 3, Rainbow Six Siege, Titanfall 2, are just the sampling of the games i have bought but just don't have the time to invest, let alone all the racing and sports games. Factor in that most of my time in the last few weeks have been trying to come to grips with the RIft and VR. It's definitely a best of times/worst of times scenario for a 50 year old gamer. :)
