I'm still playing, I'm in year 4 of a Bears franchise, which is the first time in years I've made it past 2 seasons in franchise. The on-field gameplay to me made a big leap this year, it feels much less predictable to me than what we have seen in recent years. The drafting is actually pretty good, better than it has ever been.

Maybe it will be fine? I am assuming they have been working on that change for a couple of years.

Definitely worried about the transition to Frostbite. I don't think the NHL game is a good comparison, though, as it was not the tradition to a new engine, but a new generation. It was rocky, and NHL 15 was a barebones release because of it.

Madden has a much bigger team and more resources. They might skimp on features, but I'm suspecting that they are ready to go with a new game already. I do wish Madden would rethink their online game modes, though. Connected Franchise is such limited way of playing the game.

I long for those 4, 6, 8 or 10 team leagues. I'm tired of 32 team leagues where you mostly play the CPU. My dream would be adding league structure to MUT Salary Cap. A six team league and 10 game schedule where we get to show forth teams we built would be fun as heck. Leagues could set their Cap to whatever they want.

Considering the majority of their fan based wants CFM to be improved I doubt they will scrap it. For people who don't like playing an NFL franchise game mode you already have MUT, MUT Seasons, champions and online play with who knows how many tournaments.

Anyone remember what the transition to FB for Rory did to that franchise? Not a great comparison since the two teams were night and day on resources and expectations.....

A new and I assume final title update dropped today for Madden 17. Claims to fix some game play issues that have been a real drag.

For anyone who hasn't tried this patch yet my advice is change your sliders back to default or else this game will be tough as hell. The QB Acc slider actually works, DB's are much better and line play is better. I was using some jacked up sliders and got my ass handed to me.

It's changed MUT for the better, too. Although MUT guys are scrambling to upgrade their teams, because all Bronze OLs was the current strategy. I still find some guys using them, and it is brutal. In Salary Cap it forces a much better distribution of cap space.

Do you guys know if older Maddens remain playable after the new ones come out? I am on what I think is my last year of my Connected Franchise before I move on to other games, but I'm kind of invested in the team I've built. Wondering if M17 would be playable this fall after 18 comes out, if I feel like picking my franchise back up.

I know you can play from Madden NFL 25 and 15 if you got EA Access.

Is it a cloud franchise or local? Local no issues what so ever, cloud idk how long they keep them going honestly

Yeah but it can be local on your XB1 or a Cloud based. If it is Cloud based idk how long they stay active. I'm in season 5 of one of mine, once you get rookies you care about and watch them grow it is fun.
