Arsenal vs. Chelsea?
ManU vs. LEI?
Other?
May have to record both as 11:30 a.m. is a little late in the morning to watch as I have things going on and 6:30 a.m. is too early to get up on a weekend.....

I know the NBC Sports app. lets you stream the EPL games but I wonder if you can go back later and still view the matches.

Ôzil is playing with such poise and confidence, everything he touches is golden. Didn't know Chelsea would miss him that much but against a tougher opponent the voice of JT is very important for them.

Looks like City is going to run away in the EPL.
Next challenge is whether they can do anything in the CL.
If Pep wins a couple of EPL titles and wins the CL with a Premier league team, what challenges does he have left? Maybe International football?
Of course, you could say Barca and Bayern could have won those titles without him. And City was going to be a contender this year even if he didn't take over the team.

And you know Jose Mourinho is stewing at the thought. It's like watching Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick going at it in the same division. It'll give ManU more incentive to add more superstar players. Hey maybe they should play that kid "Alex Hunter".wco81 wrote:Looks like City is going to run away in the EPL.

Having lost the Rams and only watching the Chiefs games, I have a lot more time and commitment to enjoy the EPL. With that said, what days are matches typically?
Re: The Beautiful Game of Football, 2016-2017 Season
EPL wise you'll see the core of the games on Saturday, usually there's a game or 2 also on Sundays and one on Monday.sportdan30 wrote:Having lost the Rams and only watching the Chiefs games, I have a lot more time and commitment to enjoy the EPL. With that said, what days are matches typically?
Bundasliga is another good league to follow footie action along with La Liga.
And if you're close to KC, watch some MLS, they are in a playoff spot.

Thanks! I'm finding the EPL games more enjoyable than most of the NFL games I watch.10spro wrote:EPL wise you'll see the core of the games on Saturday, usually there's a game or 2 also on Sundays and one on Monday.sportdan30 wrote:Having lost the Rams and only watching the Chiefs games, I have a lot more time and commitment to enjoy the EPL. Fat Sam resigns as Manager of the English National Team.

The Football Association are a joke. As someone wrote now that they've failed with the bottom of the barrel candidate perhaps the next step is to look for someone under the barrel, or perhaps appoint the barrel Manager. Of course they might also go with Neville but they'd have to dig through the earth's core for that one.

Upset in the making with the Spurs up on City 2-0.

Bob Bradley deserves enormous credit for becoming the first American to manage in the English top flight. He's certainly got the chops and the experience to make a go of it. Took a hell of a lot of commitment for him to travel and work in the outposts that he did after leaving the USMNT, so it's cool to see it pay off for him.

You know Ryan Giggs must be pissed to be passed up again for his lack of managerial experience. It's like trying to get your first credit card.
What a way to start your coaching career at Swansea. They play Arsenal next.

That was a horrendous match to watch considering all the hype. A few flashes by Lallana, Coutinho, De Gea with a couple of strong saves. A lot of emotions but a poorly executed match.

Not sure if Guardiola's decision to sit Aguero was correct in order to strengthen their midfield, but boy Messi made them pay.

Oddly enough, I thought City had just as many quality chances as Barca before Bravo's insanity led to City dropping to 10 men. But Barca, er, Messi finished. City did not.10spro wrote:Not sure if Guardiola's decision to sit Aguero was correct in order to strengthen their midfield, but boy Messi made them pay.
Still, I found the scoreline deceiving. A comfortable win for Barca but not the whitewashing normally associated with a 4-0 result.

ManU has to learn that throwing money at individual players is clearly not the answer. Granted when you lose your two CB's is tough but watching their game vs Chelsea, just showed their concerning lack of creativity even when you have a finisher like Ibrahimovic. The midfield looks disjointed, Mata doesn't have a man to pass to, not sure the roles of a Herrera or Young, and Pogba just looks like a lost fish in a big pond.
Three different managers in almost four seasons shows you that they better start looking at a long term solution. Throwing money around is definitely not one of them.

How long before fans start calling for a new manager? The NY Yankees learned that lesson the hard way. Now they are rebuilding and reloading with youth.10spro wrote:ManU has to learn that throwing money at individual players is clearly not the answer. I hope the Pogba deal works out for both sides but I thought that was a lot of money to throw at one player when you have other holes to fill on the team. Is there a salary cap in the EPL?
Re: The Beautiful Game of Football, 2016-2017 Season
Sort of. The irrevelance of the cap rules is so weak that top teams like City or United can use the extra cash that they get from other revenues like commercial sponsors and TV deals where they can use that cash and use it towards their new acquisitions.Rodster wrote:How long before fans start calling for a new manager? Highest revenue club in the world, maybe in all sports.
Probably spend a ton more in January?
