Just read that the Titanfall 2 OPEN Beta starts this Friday and will be open for the next two weekends.

Those of you that have never played it are missing a VERY underrated and entertaining shooter. The updates for TF2 look great also...plus it's on PS4 this time also. Oh, and there is a single player campaign also.

I'll be trying it for sure, maybe it's the heat but not totally bananas for shooters at this time yet, my favourite mode was Hard Point I think.

I'm still addicted to Frontier Defense. Intense, destructive co-op combat. One of the best co-op games I've ever played, ranking right up there with Ghost Recon 2 and Operation Flashpoint: Red River.

The open beta is up...I'm downloading. Goto the store and search "Titanfall 2". On the far right it will say Titanfall 2 Tech Test. That's the one. I'll give it a whirl later....have some stuff to do first.

I've just seen some recent articles online of people complaining about the beta. Their complaints seems to be harder to earn titans, weak titans when they do come, removal of AI grunts from most modes, and open-maps with few opportunities for parkour. I haven't had a chance to try it myself, and I thouht Titanfall 1 was good, but never addictive.

I LOVE it. The beta definitely is less mech and more infantry than Titanfall, which probably offends Titanfall and mech fans.

I never was a mech guy, but Titanfall grabbed me like few shooters this generation. And the better balance between mechs and infantry in the beta drives up my street even more.

Damn game is fast paced with perks here and there that extends your pilots' experience. Haven't really tried any Titans yet, just kept playing Pilots VS basically and the mode where you can earn cash and need to deposit it. I will buy the game probably, but I don't see the longevity and addictness that I have experienced with Battlefront.

Battlefront is a simpler game. Easier to pick up and play. But Titanfall had a hell of a lot more fun modes than BF, in my opinion.

Battlefront also has one lure that Titanfall lacks: the Star Wars franchise. If you're a Star Wars fan, you're grooving on BF. I'm not a Star Wars fan, so Titanfall pulls me in more even though I'm still having a ton of fun with Battlefront, too.

Titanfall is far more like a summer action blockbuster than BF. Sh*t is blowing up everywhere in Titanfall, which I dig.

There are only like 2 maps and modes in the beta this weekend. Next weekend they have more modes to test. I like what I have seen. FUN.

I only had a chance to play a few games this weekend, but I enjoyed what I played. I can see myself getting addicted to Bounty Hunter pretty quickly. In that mode, there were a lack of Titans, but Respawn to put a hotfix out to increase the number of Titans in Hardpoint which I didn't get a change to play.

The grappling hook is a nice addition. Didn't really play around with any of the other perks. The game moved fluid and looked great. I know people out there are complaining about the maps but I don't know why, I think they were fun. I'm looking forward to see what they throw at us this coming weekend. But Titanfall 2 remains a must buy Day One purchase for me.

I thought it played exceptionally well for a beta. I am sure Respawn didn't put the game's best maps up for the damn beta. I am VERY confident that the game is going to be superb. Remember it is an EA game so it'll be on Access for a free trial before release. If you like shooters it's a no brained IMO.

I am really hoping that the Beta this weekend improves on last weeks' experience. For me anyways. One of the reasons I enjoyed the first one, was the ability of the pilots to walk across buildings through walls, and I didn't see too much of that with my chosen pilots. Whether it was by design of the maps or whether Respawn just nerfed one of the key features in the original game remains to be seen.

Also, my Titans didn't seem to appear as frequently as it did last year and when it did, the experience seemed to be short.

The grappling feature, one of the coolest gadgets being advertised is only given to one particular pilot class?

Titanfall would have had more life in my rotation last year if they added more content, more Titans, weapons, maps, customization, etc. In general, the Beta was very smooth, but it left me wanting more. And I am glad it was just a Beta, as I hope they keep on improving things.

Surprisingly, I just felt like it was a prequel to the original Titanfall. I just felt like I was playing more CoD last weekend.

It's a beta! I was reading that last week's version was from June and they already have a lot of the problems/issues fixed. This week's beta (supposedly) has some surprises, etc. it goes live noon EST. I'll be playing later today.

There's supposed to be new weapon unlocks, new abilities and a new map called Kodai.

Game went live at midnight so I jumped it. Man, I struggled. By the end of the beta I was holding my own but I couldn get s*** tonight. Saw two new maps and they were nice. Love the game.
