Functionally, they're the same. T3PA-PRO pedals are just almost all metal and much sturdier. My T500 pedals still work, the T3PA-PROs feel similar, and the T3PA pedals sh*t the bed on me within a month. I tried everything I could and they were just dead. So with Thrustmaster's stuff...if it's the 'cheaper' version and feels sh*ttier...it usually is.

What rim did you use with your TX?

I used the base, the Ferrari GTE Add-on rim, the T300 rim, and a T500RS rim on it.

This is a stage tonight from the UK that I did with the TMX and Wheelstand Pro. Of note is finally being able to hold drifts as well as negotiate S curves by doing a pendulum swing back and forth. I don't remember whether this is my fastest time through this stage but it really felt good and fully justified having a proper wheel.
Terry, if you have any feedback for me , let me know.

Nice driving! Once you get used to being able to make subtle weight shifts with the car, the wheel is so much more fun. Seems like you're just about there already. If I had any recommendation, is that you'd begin your turn in much earlier than you think you should. With a stick, the car goes full lock and rolls over so quickly. With a wheel it's a slower process, so you'll cut another dozen seconds or so off just getting into the corner a little earlier--on some of those you were still moving, but you were a lane high through the corner, rather than clipping the inside apex. If you're looking for more speed without pushing it too hard, that's the first place I'd look. But hell of a run!
Re: DiRT Rally
Thanks, Terry
.
Yeah , I'm trying to build trust that if I pitch the car too early it won't just nose in and slam me into something before the apex. I am trying to TRUST the car to slide. That's taking time to improve on, but working on that!
I just really love when going around that long right 2 arc near the beginning how the wheel tension just disappears and you float/drift it all the way around and then it loads up again on exit. The acute left right after that is a royal pain in my butt though.
Thanks
Randy

Re: DiRT Rally
Yep, I know exactly what you mean. That corner was one of my favorites early on, because it just felt like old dirt trackin' days. Throttle steer, and you feel awesome....right up until you have to hang that sharp left. I like the reverse of that track, because you're doing a left around that bend, and it is a small right-hand jump on exit, instead. So you're flying around to the left, pitch it right, and get it all crossed up in the air like the Dukes of Hazzard.
Game completely changes with a wheel. It's not necessarily "faster", as I can do pretty much the same speeds with a controller....but it sure as hell is more controlled and precise, and a lot more realistic/enjoyable.

Hey, everybody has a bad week every once in a while. This game is tough, once I dropped off my amount of time racing this game towards the end of this last season the number of mistakes(offs, rolls, etc.) added up quick.TCrouch wrote:hah! Yeah, I guess I could see that point. But you already beat him at least once last season!
I can picture my wife's eye roll right now when I try to explain to her the need for a $300+ wheel setup.
Re: DiRT Rally
I know what you mean. I think, trying to express it, that I feel like I can attack the circuit more because I feel more confident in being able to make a correction without flying off the track.TCrouch wrote:Yep, I know exactly what you mean. My wife quit even blinking at $300. Until it gets into four digits, she doesn't care anymore.
She actually put her foot down a couple of days ago. "That's enough this month!"
Yes, mom.

Re: DiRT Rally
I may set up a small one while we wait for Don to catch up or get back from vacation.
I dont play these racing games unless Don suggests something i dont know why i always have a blast when i do i just need Dons kick in the back side to get motivated to play.
Still think we should investigate some Rally cross one night.

Well, I hope we can get going again soon...I gotta put my wheel to the test

Re: DiRT Rally
I have failed you all as an League Administrator and should be sacked.... However, I hope to be out from under my current limitations come next weekend so maybe we can get something going next week. I am open to ideas on length and format and I will see if more than one person can be tagged as an ADMIN. Thanks again for hanging in there.

NP Don your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Re: DiRT Rally
Agreed. - you've done good.
I would love more stages in a rally personally. Otherwise, I'm fine

Damn, I miss the Beastie Boys.....Anyway, I will post some more details later today, but journey with me to a time of some of the fastest, most powerful and sophisticated rally cars ever built. What many refer to as "the golden era of rally", but also the most dangerous.....Be afraid..,,be very afraid..........Well, I'm Mike D, and I'm back from the dead

Game is available for download at 29.99 on ps4. I'm currently downloading it. That's a very good price for a game most of you seem to really like.

59.99 was a good price for a ridiculously awesome game that I've purchased twice already (XB1 and PC). LOL.fletcher21 wrote:Game is available for download at 29.99 on ps4. I'm currently downloading it. That's a very good price for a game most of you seem to really like.

Re: DiRT Rally
I spent half an hour on the preview races with the mini and the escort. The mini is slow and underpowered, so it's not too difficult. The escort slides around like crazy! The rest of the game is still downloading, so I can't access any of the current cars. This game is so challenging and demanding, I guess I didn't think it was that hardcore. I was expecting Colin McRae 2.0 type racing, but from what I remember of cmr, this game is 100x more realistic And punishing. Should take me a long time to get competitive, let alone master it.
Any word on how sales have gone? Most console players seem to want easy and fast racing games with power ups and tons of modifications. I w
ould assume many people bought this expecting fast arcade racing with huge jumps a d were scared off by the difficulty. I love it!
