Re: DiRT Rally
I just posted the pics on here as links, anyone and everyone should be able to see them?
Here, just for you, an album linky thing.
https://goo.gl/photos/aSJ45ubVytEubUcr6
And yes, I am playing with the full rotation, but softlock on. I suppose one solution is to just not bugger up the drive and try to quickly reverse out of trees or what not..... but what's the fun of that?
The one thing i've noticed is I am now able to drive faster with the wheel and not flounder around like a fool, but the increased speed can result in more trouble for me when I muck up a corner or six. Hence the last rally i finished sans door, sans radiator, and I think the co-driver fell out too.

It didn't appear on my Mac but if you view on it on a tablet or smartphone you can see his set up and ditto for my headbands. Don't ask me why...Jimmydeicide wrote:Nope, paddle shifters for the win, why take your hand off the wheel , hard enough with 2 hands. Sounds like you have to much steering ratio to me.Gangrel wrote:Btw I can see why people buy a separate shifter. Paddle shifting in this game sucks when you are in panic mode with the wheel spin round.......
Im in google what can i do to see the pics ? a setting or something, maybe thats why i couldnt see 10's bandana collection.

Well those are things that you're supposed to plan BEFORE you have kids. How about one of these:Gangrel wrote:She can't manage the stairs with it and I have yet to install a beer fridge down there lol.dbdynsty25 wrote:Or at least to help the little girl it belongs to transport from fridge to your hand. They take too long . Ace only plays for an hour so he needs to drink twice as fast as everyone else thats a lot of trips.
Re: DiRT Rally
I play for two hours Canadian. It's an hour to you due to the exchange rate.

Got Prime? Maybe this deal of the week would have solved all your issues.

That office chair is breaking down, thanks for reminding me, Jimmy.
Doing a lot more iRacing and American Truck Simulator (don't ask) lately, so I figure this was as good a time as any to upgrade.
Got an Obutto R3volution on its way.

First off your office chair is in better shape than mine .
And then I was just getting closer to you in that last Rally ... sigh...Its all over now lads

Just get one of these Terry and be done with it.
Put us all out of our misery
Re: DiRT Rally
Believe me, I looked...still too pricey, even the cheaper ones
Not to mention with those, you'd almost have to have a tarp or something around it so you don't see the room staying still in your peripheral vision as you move around.
I've been trying to figure out how to overhaul my setup for a while, so it was a long time coming. And to be fair, I get my ass kicked in every iRacing race I run, so it's not like it's going to help me be faster.

Re: DiRT Rally
Speaking of setups, I just completed my house move and my basement is operational (but still in progress). I just ordered one of these, but the real important part is DiRT Rally just added official Oculus support.
Is there any cross-platform support for this game so I can play DSP rallies on PC? At the end of the day it's just a list of times after all.

Unfortunately not. Believe me, I would love to play it in Triple Screen mode at a higher resolution, but they don't do that.
On PC, it shows that I'm not a member of any leagues, whereas I am on XBox One.
Congrats on the playseat! There's really no substitute for having a better driving posture...so any sort of wheel stand or cockpit that puts you in a more normalized position helps.

Re: DiRT Rally
Couple of notes on Germany - don't over use the handbrake in the rain, use lightly if at all - the arse will get away from you.
Also on the 400 and 500 straightaways, especially on the home legs, break slightly earlier than you really want to - you will be at top speed, and braking to a square turn takes a loong time.
Also, my epic finish to last week's event:

Re: DiRT Rally
I've tried wheels in the past. Get frustrated with wheel wobbling around on me, pedals sliding away...Gonna give the playseat a shot and give up on wheels entirely if it doesn't work. I'm not going even more hardcore with big, heavy monsters.TCrouch wrote:Unfortunately not. Believe me, I would love to play it in Triple Screen mode at a higher resolution, but they don't do that.

Sucks that I can't run with you guys on PC. Here's some of the rally skills I would've brought.

Re: DiRT Rally

Thats pretty much how i crossed the finish in my last two rallies except i lost the wheel in both before the end

Re: DiRT Rally
Stop being so modest. You have done quite well.
f***.... I didnt even finish the last one.
This game is not good for drinking and driving at all.

Re: DiRT Rally
Its the truth, no modesty i guess you suck worse than you thought.
Drinking and driving is why my Rallys end up like that, the last few stages im usually getting a Buzz on and i start to do my tricks .
Barrel rolls,
"losing pressure rear right"
Boulder,
"I think we have a flat tire"
barrel roll into boulder,
"lost rear right"
Bring it to the finish like naples gif one hand on the steering wheel beer in the other
.
