Huge game one win for the Blues considering they got out shot by the Hawks. Loved how aggressive the Blues were with their checking. We'll take the fluke goal as the Blues rarely get any luck go their way, especially come playoff time.
Despite a missed call, Sharks showed some resiliency and a lot of speed from some of their forwards that can cause LA a lot of headaches as the series wears on. This series is going to be fun to follow. Two of my pool players, little Joe Pavelksi along B. Burns had a great game and I am sure Kings will have to make a few adjustments next game as they were firing blanks at the end of the game despite some good pressure.
Red Wings are clearly frustrated by the Bolts speed and forecheck. Jimmy Howard just needs to be better. The game was tighter than what the score indicates.
I thought it was offside from the blue line angle, but really, definitely not from the other angle. I would've said inconclusive, probably.
Doesn't matter. That team is losers, coached by a throwback loser. If they would've been awarded that goal, they would have just given the Hawks another opening They're looking for a chance to fold.

Such a great post, what other great insights do you have?
The goal was legit. The puck was still loose in the crease so Shaw had all the right to fight for it and shove it in. Now the challenge did suck the air out of the game especially for Blues fans but when you implement a rule, even though it maybe inches as the video indicated, offside is offside. I didn't like the fact that it took that long for the review, but I guess you better be damn sure that it's the right call. Keith just adds so much stability overall to his team when he's there, I thought he controlled the pace of the blue line and was one of the better Hawks players. Yes, he's a d***** but he's a solid D-man. Do not despair Blues fans, this is a long series, it's been tight and it's more mental than anything else for this team now. I don't see the Hawks as being the better team from these two games. Pretty even so far.

Plenty, but as far as hockey is concerned I really don't get rolling until the later rounds of the playoffs. Might explain why you haven't been around for too many of them.
