Not sure why Newton didn't show any urgency whatsoever to recover his fumble with 4 minutes left, this may cost them the SB. So many dumb penalties for the Panthers. TD by a foot, why review?
Manning haters are all angry tonight which makes it all the sweeter.
Nice to see Cam get taken down a peg, I'd like to think he will learn some humility from this but I doubt it.
I'm happy for Manning also. One of the good guys. As for Cam, I don't think he needs to be taken down a peg. He's the MVP of the league, good guy, great with kids and fans. Maybe he's too flamboyant for some. Not me. He's an entertainer and understands that.

Totally agree with you on Cam Newton. I think a lot of what he did this year was his reaction to the media thinking he was a bust after his solid rookie year. I'm glad to see DeMarcus Ware win on SB after so many years in Dallas. The guy I hated to see win another ring is that POS John "Chiclets" Elway.
Boring game in terms of the flow, but at the same time interesting to see defenses dominate a Super Bowl like that. Denver's pass rush was incredible. Getting seven sacks on a guy like Cam who is so big, mobile, and good at maneuvering in the pocket is quite an achievement. I feel bad for the Panthers D because they also played great and forced a couple fumbles that didn't go their way.
I do understand it has to be hard to do press after getting so close to a championship, but Cam was a big fat baby afterward. You can be gracious, you can be sad, or you can be Denny Green after a loss, but don't pout.
I also feel bad for Eli, he lost the one thing he could lord over Peyton.

The rumor is that while Cam was doing his press conference, Chris Harris was in the room next door making fun of Cam. With the thin walls, thats what Cam was hearing the whole time. Personally, talking to the press is the least important thing a players has to do, in my opinion. I mean, people actually want him to just show up and say all of the generic crap we know they say. It's a total waste. Personally, I don't watch a single press conference, unless something interesting happens and it is rebroadcasted later on Fox sports or ESPN.

As I stated elsewhere Cam is fine with all his celebration antics when something good happens and if people don't like it, too bad. However when having his ass handed to him a few bad words in a nearby interview send him scurrying for cover. Got it.
Aside from the press conference his body language rivaled Jay Cutler on the sidelines and field. I particularly liked it when he fell to the ground in disgust when Norman got the holding call. As if this is what cost Carolina the game. Or when he decided not to dive after his fumble, or get mad because his receivers could haul down one of his over cooked throws.
Adversity reveals character and his was front and center. No one will give a s*** though because he is the flavor of the month.

It's only worth talking about if you are black, though.
