I'd love to see Goodell b*tch slapped. :)

If anyone thinks he is this straight up honest, do what's good for the league type of commissioner then you have issues. Money grabbing owners and Goodell and toupe man knew all along this move to LA was going to happen.

As I've said.. oh well.. I won't lose sleep over it or the NFL. It's still inferior to the NHL and College Football imho only. ;)

An arrogant ownership and front office team who runs its best players/coaches out of the building into retirement or the unemployment line.

An arrogant coach who runs his best players out of the building into the arms of other teams or the unemployment line.

...

I don't know, seems like a perfect match to me!

This train wreck is going to be hilariously entertaining to watch, after enduring years of the same thing in Oakland.

I understand that reaction because Chip definitely made mistakes but he did win 10 games his first two years in the league. His first year he took a horrible Eagles squad to a 10 win season and a division title after winning only 4 games the year before. I believe his firing was a year too early. Definitely thought he would get one more year. Just my opinion.

His 1st year and then the NFL adapted to his system. The difference between college and professional coaches in my opinion is NFL coaches can change their system to work with what they have. Kelly though he could plug people into his system like in college. Maybe he learned something, i doubt it because I'm sure his ego is still sky high since he was immediately re-hired.

I imagine Cap is the only one happy about this.

Danimal is spot-on. Chip Kelly isn't going to revolutionize pro football. His massive ego will catch up to him soon enough.

I give Kelly a shelf life of three years or less in San Francisco. Then he will trudge back to college football, tail between legs, so he can have total control and appear to be the mad scientist genius he thinks he is.

Chip Kelly is Jim Harbaugh with about three more chins.

I never said he was going to revolutionized football (maybe you didn't either...depends on the context :) ). The MEDIA said/thought that. Sure Kelly has an ego but the MEDIA has made more of that than anyone. I am an Eagles fan. I follow the team EVERY DAY (not just on Sports Center) and the perception of Kelly has been overdone by the media...IMO. Many fans around the country simply take what the NATIONAL media says. Can you second guess his moves? Absolutely. I can do that with nearly every coach in all of sports. There is no avoiding that. However, he is not the absolute cancer that everyone keeps making him out to be. He definitely needs to evolve a little bit but he is far from a bad coach. His players need to grow the hell up also. Lane Johnson called him a dictator. Malcolm Jenkins and Demeco Ryans said the opposite...and they are grizzled vets. Kelly is about halfway between what the media believes and what Chip Kelly believes. I believe he will do well in San Fran.

For the record, there is a part of me that is glad Kelly is gone. Its just nowhere near the level of most "fans".

All good points, Bill. Who is your preferred choice as the Eagles' next head coach?

My disdain for Kelly doesn't come from the media. I have a little better source than that.

No man crush here. I just despise poor journalism. No worries. I realize everyone has an opinion.

It wasn't Pederson...although he could end up being good. Then again he could be the sacrificial lamb until a "better" candidate becomes available. I was hoping Gruden would at least surface. I wish McDermott would have gotten interviewed. He was with the birds before in a bad situation. Now look at him...Panthers are pretty damn good.

Pederson is being described as a younger Andy Reid.

So why did the Eagles get rid of Reid in the first place?

Well that is like saying John Gruden is JUST like Bill Walsh. Just because he comes from Reid's coaching tree doesn't mean he is Andy Reid. Does Harbaugh remind you of Andy Reid? Didn't think so. He was with Reid for a long time. The guy hasn't coached a game yet so lets see what he's like before making comparisons.

Supposedly Reid and Pederson work closely to craft game plans for the Chiefs.

Thing is, Kelly came in and basically changed around the personnel to suit his system.

Now, Pederson would be coming in and they'd need to acquire players who better fit the Reid/Pederson offense.

True. Those are the ills of starting over. That being said, perhaps Pederson will adapt to the hand he has been dealt (which was a criticism of Kelly) and create a competent offense from what he has. Again, lets wait and see how the draft and free agency goes. If they resign/franchise Bradford that will dictate a lot of what Pederson will/won't do. It's EARLY :)

The chiefs deserved that last lucky ass play to go against them after the lazy and grotesque way they ran the time out on themselves the previous drive.

Really ex Rams fans?

These lazy brain dead assholes the team you want to cheer for?

I didn't see it but if it involved clock management Andy Reid isn't exactly the guy you want in charge...been there, seen that :)

That was painful to watch. I like 99% of what Reid has brought to KC, but that clock management was the worst. I also would have kicked deep and tried to use the time outs. I think the Pats are less likely to throw for aa first down closer to their own end zone.

But yeah, the Chiefs didn't deserv to catch that last break.
