You where right. The difference was minimal if any.
But after using it for almost a week I've become accustomed to the white, and the truth is that I enjoy the saturated colors on this screen.
Plus, just called Google and they're crediting $50 to my Visa since they're now offering the 6p for $50 cheaper.

I love Nexus phones. The Nexus 4 was great and now the Nexus 6.
Re: OT:Smart Phones
As soon as I'm able to upgrade my S4 to an S6.. it's a done deal and I'm getting the VR heatset for it.
I tried the VR set with a Samsung S6 today at a Verizon store and I am completely freaking blown away at how cool this $100 headset is.
There is really no way to describe it... you have to go an try one out for yourself. Now.. these were demos (one was an Avenger clip) but I would imagine the apps will continue to grow as the VR platform picks up. Just moving your head to look around in a total 3D environment is just too cool.
Anyone else try one out yet or have one?

Get a Note 5 instead of the S6...seriously. Significantly better, if you want a Samsung phone for their VR.MizzouRah wrote:As soon as I'm able to upgrade my S4 to an S6.. it's a done deal and I'm getting the VR heatset for it.

Hey All.
I made the mistake of accidentally activating the Marshmallow update on my 2014 Moto X. Thankfully I was out and it requires wifi to update...so.. it's sitting in que. Anyone know if there a way to cancel this update before it happens?

Re: OT:Smart Phones
I"m just curious, if you don't mind saying, what are you guys paying for your bills a month?
For $85 a month here in Ottawa, (probably plus tax, etc) that gets me 300 daytime minutes, unlimited evenings and weekends, texting, blah blah blah and 2.5 GBs of data on Telus.
Something tells me in the US of A, a plan like that is probably 1/3 the price?

I use Straight Talk and pay $45 per month/no contract with unlimited everything including data. It's throttled at 5GB a month but I even get LTE on my Nexus 6.

You have to actually press "install" to get it to install, so what's the problem? Why wouldn't you want the update anyway?FifaInspected wrote:Hey All.

It's about the same down here for Post Paid Plans (not straight talk, cricket, etc.).Gangrel wrote:I"m just curious, if you don't mind saying, what are you guys paying for your bills a month?

I'm switching to Project Fi here in about a month and a half (when both my lines contracts are up)...and I'll save a bunch there. Right now I pay 135 for 2 lines (and a tablet) w/ unlimited everything and 15gb of data. That's with my 25% discount for data through work. So it should be around $155. Through Fi, it'll be about 110 for all three lines and no contract.
Re: OT:Smart Phones
T-mobile Family plan/no contract. I was recently able to lower the cost to $110/month ($140 after fees and taxes) for 5 lines with unlimited everything, except high speed data which is limited to 2GBs per line per month.

Ya don't say. 110 million lifetime handset sales compared to 6.5 billion Android and Apple phones. Lol. Wow. And Microsoft still hasn't completely iced it. Any day now I suppose.

You have limitations on talk minutes? Welcome to 2006, Canada. I know no one talks on their phone anymore, but WTF?Gangrel wrote:I"m just curious, if you don't mind saying, what are you guys paying for your bills a month?

Re: OT:Smart Phones
Yeah but the same Canadian mobile carriers are running fiber to homes and they are starting to do sports in 4K.
They already did a Celtics-Raptors games in 4K and will do more NBA and NHL games going forward.
They have a 4K DVR capable of storing 150 hours of 4K programming, play back in HDR. It's suppose to be available starting in February but I think it's mainly in the Toronto and some other big markets.
