Are you using legacy Defending Rod? It helps cos when you 2nd press they will actually put a tackle in unlike tactical.

Probably not but when I say "me against the world" feeling, I'm referring to the AI organically playing off the ball like real teammates. PES does that really well and with FIFA I'm constantly having to manually switch to players as soon as the ball gets close to or in the box.

In PES the player AI has better situational awareness and will automatically close down on the CPU AI and cutoff passing lanes. FIFA appears to use zone AI logic. In other words they won't react until the ball or AI player moves into his zone box. When that happens then the player AI will react. Besides that I find FIFA to be either I do everything or the player AI leaves me out to dry.

I was pretty content with the slight improvements from the last update last month, but the penalties along the questionable referees are long due, especially in the danger zone. Either they were called for just a simple push or you were fouled blatantly in the area with the refs turning a blind eye. No consistency from them and hopefully they call the play advantage rule better. I had so many instances were I was in a clear to advance despite being fouled only to be called 2 seconds late while still having possession of the ball.

Passing again? I hope they don't make it as easy as FIFA 15, the way it is now is just perfect IMO.

If you're using the high pressure tactic, players should be tired by the 50th minute and I hope they touched it with this patch. In other words their stamina should be affected along their fatigue level.

And finally, player positioning. Yeah, smarter AI runs should make your through balls and chip shots more accurate. One of the early complains from people was that the game was just not as fun to play as FIFA 15 (last year was too ping-pongee for me) so EA is trying to make those adjustments.

I actually find quite a nice balance this year compared to 15, with the fouls and refs being my main beef so hopefully they improved it with this patch.

No new update for me on the PS4. It still shows v1.04 which was released a few weeks ago.

Though there is a big Madden 16 update.

I've been playing this on legendary with a few sliders a couple of notches in my favor. Games have been tight but scoring has been severely lacking. I like the way the CPU plays though on the highest level. Last night I played a couple of back to back matches between Everton and Leicester City...both games scoreless and when looking at the final stats, hardly any scoring chances. It seemed like I was always a split second away from getting off a shot or making a play but it felt that way for the CPU as well. I bumped the speed from medium up to fast and it totally improved the game for me. More chances, I scored two goals, shots were higher for both me and the CPU and the game just felt better or at least I felt I was able to be more creative.

First game with the new update and the game feels much better to me. I set everything back to the defaults and it plays much more to my liking. CPU buildup play is still there but now they actually move the ball much better. So far so good

I'm hardly a soccer aficionado when it comes to these games, but I can even tell the game feels more organic and open. I don't play it as often as I should, but it definitely provides some exciting gaming moments.
