As expected Philly played hard and had the Heat down by 15 at the half. Miami can't afford to lose any of these early season games. Next up are the Knicks who are winning and i'm actually liking the Knicks chances in this game. Porzingas had another monster game, dropping 24 pts and he's now staying out of foul trouble.

My Sixers have no clue how to close a game out.

LOL...can't help but laugh. Like anyone would expect them to at this point. Kinda sad really...feel bad for the guys on the team. It's like the really bad AYSO team in your son/nephew's league. Just can't win for anything, even when the other team lets them score occasionally because they feel bad.

Miami was just giving points away on turnovers. And it's pretty obvious the team is still trying to gel. What do you guys think about the Hack-A-Hassan/Jordan etc? Some in the media are starting to debate whether the NBA should step in and address the hacks against the bad FT shooters. I say they need to practice more lol. If you can't hit gimmie shots that's their problem.

LeBron the GM/Coach/Player got a technical for subbing himself out of last nights game without telling anyone. :P

They will win. Tough to watch right now but they will get there. Wroten and Marshall will give them the much needed help at PG.

If Marshall is you're saving grace at PG you will not get to where you want to go. Watching that guy for a year in phoenix was painful. They said his bball IQ was through the roof but he was not very athletic. I found him tentative, slow to make decisions and horribly unathletic after phoenix drafted him. They released him for essentially nothing (tech he was traded but the team acquiring dumped him immediately). He was just ok in LA with the same results and and Milwaukee as well. That guy was a giant disappointment. I guess playing time on a horrific team is doing him well.

Thanks Captain Negativity. Never said he was their saving grace. ANY help at the point guard position is welcome right now. Wroten and Marshall bring experience. McConell has been the #1 pg so far. Yeah, the undrafted TJ McConell.

15-0. Maybe there is something to this 72-game talk after all.

The thing that's amazing about GS is that they have so many guys who can kill you. During the Bulls game Friday night, I thought the Bulls did about as good of a job defensively as you can hope against the Warriors, but they have so many scorers you can't really shut them down. Any offensive rebound they get seems to be automatic points because they don't miss a lot of consecutive scoring attempts. They are shooting .487 as a team, 13 points ahead of San Antonio. I do hope they continue to succeed, it's good for the game, but I'd rather have them win 71 games. :D

Steve Kerr, who? I think even Mark Jackson can go back as HC and win a title even with this team.

Luke Walton will be the next head coach of the Lakers. Mark it down.

Played for the Lakers. Grew up in San Diego. Father was a UCLA legend. He's proving during his successful stint as a head coach this season he has done a strong apprenticeship. It all makes too much sense.

I sure as hell thought the NYK might win in Miami and it was pretty much a blowout. I was really surprised by that. Although CB was asked about Porzingis and he said he didn't know why the League has ignored him and that he can definitely play. He still had a solid game but OMG, Winslow is a defensive beast on the floor. The kid just keeps getting better and better going up against the other teams Bigs and giving them fits.

Sixers have the Celtics tonight. Tonight could be the night for win #1! I am confident we will play 3+ solid quarters...I'd take 4 though!

I don't know, the Celtics are overachieving this year and playing good basketball.

Yes they are. Of course the Sixers had the game but couldn't finish. They just need to get over the hump for one.

Sixers lose another heartbreaker...116-114 to Houston. Houston is not a good TEAM. With no Nerlens Noel they battled but fell short again. Hopefully they can get a W in LA on Tuesday.

Warriors may go 82-0.

Sixers - i thought they were turning the corner from what I was reading in the preseason. but 0-17? damn. Isn't it like 3 years in a row they've had one or two wins in the first 20 games of the season? Do they need a new coach? Seems like instead of team building they're just stuck on sucking.

The black mamba says this is his last season. He's playing like he's running on fumes. Father time has yet to lose.

Why wait till the end of the year? He should do it now. He completely sucks this year. He's hurting his team. One thing that hasn't changed is he still doesnt want to pass. He went 1 for 12 a few games ago. You'd think after 7-8 misses in a row, you'd think of passing. Nope, clank, brick, boing.

It was a good career for him. Rode Shaq's coattails in the beginning but then made the Lakers his own team at the end. I dont think the Colorado incident will dent his legacy as other Lakers who have had sexual deviancy issues are held in high regard to this day.

He wanted to get that 6th Title to match his hero MJ. But 5 isn't bad. I wonder if he will invite Shaq to his retirement ceremony at Staples.

He probably has about $25 million reasons to wait after the season.

You wonder if he would have retired if the young Lakers players gave him more hope.

After the Warriors game, he said it wouldn't have mattered if he scored 80 or if he averaged 35, implying the Lakers would still be losing a lot of games.

In fact he did say even if he averaged 35, the Lakers might be 3-8 instead of 2-8.

Or maybe if the Lakers were able to attract a big free agent, though Aldridge wouldn't have made the team that much better either.

Fun game in NY. Goes into OT as the Knicks let the Rockets back in the game with a bunch of turnovers. One reason why i've lost interest in the NFL is all the dead time in between plays. Basketball is like soccer and hockey, action most of the time.

tru dat.

NFL Game :

Opening Telecast : 1 min
Cut to Commercials : 2 min
Kickoff/Return : 5-10 seconds
Cut to Commercials : 2 min

and so on.....

Maybe NFL is just more greedier than the NBA.
