Played a Defend match last night and it was chaotic. Skipping the tutorial for this game is not a good idea.

Anyone still have this and want to play some tonight?

Games with Gold announced for November:

http://majornelson.com/2015/10/28/xbox- ... mber-2015/

The big news: The 360 Games with Gold also will be playable on the One starting in November. One of the 360 GWG next month? DIRT 3. Can't wait to play that on the One, which doesn't have a rally game worth a sh*t.

That's one of the few games I didn't sell when I unloaded my 360, just in case I ended up with another one. Very excited to be able to play it again, from what I've read my save should be in the cloud so I can pick up where I left off.

It was part of the BC announcement. Starting in November, any game that is Free with Gold on the 360 will be BC. If they are smart, they will get any of the past FwG games up and running. It's like an instant library for people upgrading from a 360.

Really hoping for Skyrim. I just want to sell the 360, but can't until my daughter is done wit the game or it is BC on the XB1.

i think at this time you should just keep the 360 because you're maybe going to get like 50 bucks at most for it. I was considering selling mine too but the $ you get back is not a lot.

Yeah, in fact I was considering just giving to it a a couple my wife and I are close friends with. They aren't really gamers, but their kids are hitting that age, and they were asking me about Minecraft. All they've ever owned is a Wii, and it never got hooked up after their last move. I trust them enough to leave my account signed in, and that would give them access to a ton of games I have on the hard drive.

I mostly just want to free up space under my TV.

WRC 5 is OK. I wouldn't say it's great by any stretch, but not as bad as "not worth a s***". :)

Well, I got the new Xbox one preview update last night and it seems to have busted my party chat.

Otherwise, it looks nice and is much quicker than before. But damn, don't roll out something with such an awful break.

I can't get past the green start up screen all night long with multiple reboots so I'm guessing it's from the update, downloading a boot file from microsoft to try to fix it tomorrow if it still isn't working then.

It's faster which is nice. I think it will just take some getting used to navigating where you want to go, over the weekend I kept hitting left to go to my games instead of down.

Not a fan of the pins so far down. But I moved back to the old dashboard because it was causing issues while I watched TV, and there have been quite a few features I found myself already missing.

I like the quick guide on the left, in particular how easy it is to adjust headset volume, send messages to recent players, and other stuff. I also miss being able to zoom into read text. I also use the activity feed a lot, so having it one click to right is better than opening an app.

If they can stabilize it, I'm mostly a fan.

No idea, this was just one of my problems. I couldn't find where to redeem a code, if my Kinect wasn't still hooked up I wouldn't of found it.

The tile for Games and Apps, where you will also find ready to install games, is located with the pins, as the first tile. One press of the RT will drop you to the pins.

I think that was a dumb move, as that tile should remain on the main home screen. It's part of what I don't like about the pins now. But once you get used to it, I don't see I as a big deal.

I also prefer he recently played tiles to be on that screen, but they want to add the extra info to clue in gamers to the extra features. So those tiles are now long logs that sit on top of each other.

The main problem is that they want to make the left side of the home page the guide. I think all of the changes will work for the best in terms of getting to where you want quicker, but I still don't think it is very intuitive. Personally, I like UI with lots of options, and I tend to learn my paths and make them work for me. But it's not super clean, that's for sure.

I'd start by waiting for BC to go live. Isn't there an adult in the home to help you with this stuff?
