Jimmy Vs Diablo, inside a steel cage! The brawl to settle it all! Diablo, accompanied to the ring by Bobby Clarke, the toothless wonder! And Jimmy brings his own underhanded manager, Zorba the Greek!

This Saturday at the Coliseum! Bring the kids!

Ok, to stay topic, I *will* say I think the Flyers have a steal in Gagner, and not just because i have a soft spot for Ex-Oilers!

Flyers lose to the Sabres 3 to 2 in overtime. Tied the game with under a minute left in regulation but then lost on a breakaway in the three on three. Oh well, great effort by the Flyers which wasn't an every game thing last year. Good to see.

Well XXXIV, your Habs will have to start another streak because...well 'She said NO'. :D

Canucks were actually much focused on this game, played solidly for 60 minutes and as a consequence, able to finally close up a game that they led going into the third period. Miller was good in net and the kids showed their speed. With the magic 9 games coming up the rookies could be sent back for more conditioning and it will be a tough decision for management to make.

A lot of Habs fans in attendance left disappointed obviously, but this is a team that will be among the top five at the end of the season.

i usually dont watch nhl regular season hockey especially the first month but this year it's been great. just this week, hawks/tb , hawks/ducks , stl/tb , pit/wash, all have been playoff level type games. maybe bettman finally hired a guy who knows how to schedule a season.

Been a while since I've seen the Ducks stumble out of the gates like this, wow. The fact that they finally got another win is crazy. Usually they do this crap near the end of the season, not right at the start. They've looked like they're years away from contending for the playoffs. How do you go from the WC Finals to barely averaging 1 goal per game over the first 10 or 11? It's insane.

A night of milestones in Vancouver as they beat the Flyers 4-1. Rookie Jake Virtanen getting his first NHL goal, Burrows playing his 700th game and H. Sedin getting his 1000 career point. Happy for all three rookies making the cut and sticking with the team, now the hard work really begins.

It's been a wacky start in the Pacific division for sure, if you told me that the Canucks would be at the very top and Ducks at the bottom of the standings, I would be laughing still.

Still very early, the key mark to judge where your team is heading is around the 20-25 games.

A very tough break for Oilers' fans and the NHL, as rookie Connor McDavid broke his collarbone in a freaky collision against the boards with two players seating on him. Going at full speed while killing a penalty he just lost an edge and went straight into the boards. He'll be gone for months, good thing is he's very young and should heal reasonably quick. A similar incident happened to P. Kane last season and he was supposed to be gone for the season, yet was fit just in time for the playoffs.

I saw the best line on this injury yesterday.

Good news is that it was a clean break and no damage to surrounding cartilage etc. So sounds like we are in Kane territory and 2 months or so, instead of rest of season.

I hope so.... The kid is fun to watch.

It's an off year for the Hawks, we can't win the cup every year. Pretty much the only thing we can count on every year is the Blue's choking in the playoffs.

But if a Weds. night game in November gets you excited then enjoy it. As you always say this is the Blues year...

There goes the Calder ... and the Oil's slim chances at making the playoffs.

McDavid has brought tons of excitement and enthusiasm to Edmonton. But the new regime must fix a problem that deposed idiotic president Lowe and his henchmen never addressed -- poor defense and goaltenders.

The last NHL-capable goaltender the Oilers have placed between the pipes was Dwayne Roloson in 2006. No coincidence that was the last year the Oil made the playoffs. Don't say Khabibulin -- he was far past his prime and possibly still hitting the bottle.
