Hmm I didn't have issues with the camera on the PC but you could freely rotate it, can you not do that on the console?
I agree inventory systems in games these days are horrible, it's like somewhere between the late 1990's and now they forgot how to do them.

You can rotate it but I feel like you often can't see as far as your sniper can aim. The zoom in or out could be a little better. And in some cases the terrain makes it really hard to find a good view. Minor complaint, though, and really an excellent game.
