XB1 Elite bundle with 1TB HD and the new Elite Controller coming in November. $499. Looks like a beast.

It's coming up on the next update.

I was only referring to watching the streams. That update is giving you the ability to broadcast via YouTube Gaming. Pretty cool. I'm guessing the XB1 will have it in a future update also.

Organizational update made to ps4 UI. Not liking it. Maybe just need to get use to it. Half the screens aren't loading with lists of games.

$150 XBOX 360 trade in for XB1 at Best Buy coming next week. I think I may finally pull the trigger.

Does anyone else have issues with the LS with the X1 controller? I mean I am on my third one now for the past year. Playing NHL is the game that it affects me the most as my player can't seem to move at times, while Madden and in some extent Fifa is less problematic. I know they were some issues in the beginning with the left stick when the console just came out but I shouldn't be buying a 3rd controller within a year.

I just bought a 3TB Mybook for my Xbox. 7200 rpm means faster loads than the internal drive. NOt sure how fast that one is.....

Local library's in St. Louis have started renting PS4 and Xbox 1 games. Obviously not every title, but the two that I've stopped at each had 8 or more games each. I rented PES 2016 and Far Cry 4.

Sure beats $2 something a day from Redbox.

I finally got a external had for xbo.

I'm using it to store back burner games and the internal he will be for current games in the rotation.

Question. Is it best to have the external drive always plugged in or should I disconnect it and only plug it in if I want to play the non rotation games? Will it always being plugged in increase failure of the drive?

Umm assuming it is a USB drive (not sure what else it could be) it's drawing it's power from the XB1 so it's not always on. It's also only being accessed when required so I can't see any reason to even think you would be increasing the failure of a drive.

If you've got a flash usb STICK...it doesn't matter because there are no moving parts. However, anytime you've got USB hard drive connected, it's going to access it to find out whats on it, to index it, etc. thus shortening it's life. Now we're talking years not days, so I certainly wouldn't worry about it.

But yes, you should consistently back it up to another drive because drives fail.

If your drive is 7200 rpm you should move all games to it as they will load faster.....

I believe the internal drive is only 5400rpm.

I recently acquired two gift cards so my nerd/technology addiction pushed me to preorder the Elite Controller. Shameless justification --->>>>> With the two gift cards it was less than what a new 'regular' controller would have been...and as some of the Ice Dragon vets know I have been known to be hard on controllers :). From what I've been reading this thing is a beast. Anxious to get my mitts on it.

Eager for your impressions. I usually get some BB gift cards for Christmas/holiday work bonus gifts. We've already nearly trashed two XB1 basic controllers here in less than two years, and we're not daily players who abuse equipment.

Count me as curious if this Elite rig is very durable and really enhances control and precision.

Where did you preorder it? I tried at the local Gamestop and they told me that they cut off preorders shortly after announcement. They're setting one aside for me anyway, but I couldn't actually preorder the damned thing.

Count me in on waiting on your impressions as well. I'm looking to get it as well around Christmas time.
