I never felt the urge to go back after my first few matches. I was 1:1 on kills to deaths, seemed I would always get a kill, take a death, over and over. I unlocked thermal detonators and haven't tried it again since. But I just felt it had that "already done this" feeling for me, even though I thought I'd dig it because...Star Wars. Not so much, here.

Funny, because Star Wars The Old Republic is probably my most played game of all time. I had max level characters of every class, a max level legacy, I've spent I don't know how much on their cartel market stuff. I'm a sucker for a good Star Wars game, but this one does not do it for me whatsoever, and that's REALLY weird, I know. I can generally have fun with just about anything.

I had no troubles getting in on the One over the weekend, clicked to join and it instantly put me in with a full group. Even though I sucked really bad against the kiddies only getting 0 or 1 kills I am still looking forward to the full version. :)
Me too. I really enjoyed "Walker Assault" or whatever it was called. Drop Zone was too quick for me. I like the big maps a lot better than the small ones.

Thanks, man.

I'm passing on this game. Playing the beta for about six hours last week proved SW:BF is Battlefield 4 without soldier classes and without a Star Wars theme. I'm not enough of a Star Wars dude to justify buying this game, especially when I'm still having a ton of fun with BF4. BF: Hardline also is coming to the EA Access Vault this month. That's enough shooter for me.

Thanks again.

I can understand being underwhelmed by this game if your not a Star Wars and Battlefield fan. I'm a huge fan of both. Played the heck out of SWBF2 and only been waiting 10 years for this. The beta did not disappoint. Great visuals, good maps, solid combat, Star Wars!

I agree with this.

Honestly I'm not sure how that beta turned anyone off, if anything it was better than expected. If it's not your type of game that'c cool but in terms of delivering on what they said IMO they knocked it out of the park.

4 expansion packs planned as well I can only see this game getting better.

I had zero expectations for this game. Entered the beta as a hopeful Switzerland -- neutral as f*ck. I wondered if a new shooter could supplant BF4 in my rotation.

Star Wars: Battlefront didn't do it. Felt too much like BF 4 with Star Wars motif. But I'm glad those who were enthused about it still are digging it.

It will be in the EA Access Vault within a year. I can play it then. :)

Considering they had over 9 million players in the beta I'm guessing they aren't too concerned with a few people who feel indifferent.

It was a damn good beta...fun. I'm still not sure I'll be getting the full version though. Fall always has a bunch of games so I must prioritize :)

And all the power to them. There are a lot of Star Wars peeps out there who will lap up anything from the Hands of Lucas.

Haha. That's classic. Hey, Francis nailed it: This is Battlefield Star Wars. Nothing wrong with that. But BF4 still more than satisfies me.

Clearly shows you know nothing about Star Wars as most fans despise Lucas. :D

Yeah, I'm not a Star Wars geek. Have made that abundantly clear. But a toxic Star Wars sundae could be brought to market, and enough Star Wars fans would eat it to make Jonestown look like a minor flu outbreak.

It was a joke PK, I don't care if you dislike Star Wars and prefer Battlefield.

I have seen that Triumph clip a billion times and it still makes me cry with laughter.

Also, Battlefront has one thing Battlefield does not: that classic Star Wars pew-pew blaster sound. That s*** never gets old.

The bigger issue for me isn't if I would enjoy this, I'm sure I would, but that there's a pretty good influx of games coming around the same time. I'm not sure this would pull me off of Fallout 4. But I have had fun with the beta.

I swear I saw on a documentary or something years ago that the blaster sound was actually the crew hitting a steel wire with a hammer or something.

As for the game...I am leaning towards getting it. Yes it is the Battlefield concept (which I like) but even though I'm not a Star Wars nut (I do like the series) I like the Star Wars theme. Add in the fact that there will be more modes and maps than the two in the beta (which were beautiful BTW) and I'm pretty much in.

Any idea how many maps at launch?

I'm getting it for the sole reason occasionally I need a game I can drop in for 20-30 minutes and play and have fun. Actually more than occasionally I find myself with under an hour of play time so firing up an RPG or a game of Madden is not feasible. During the beta I could easily drop in a game and play and get out. I know numerous people posted here about wait times to find a game. On the PC I joined every game in under a minute.

I think $50 for a season pass is ridiculous however.

I had zero problems finding a game in either beta mode after the first night of the beta on XB1. Hopefully that's a good harbinger for the full release for you cats.
