Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Bears trade Jared Allen which is not that big of a deal for an unknown draft pick (my guess 6th round) and will pay 11.5 million of his salary because it's the Bears. As I said above trade Jefferies before you make the mistake of paying a #3 receiver who is as soft as tissue paper #1 money.

The great Chicago fire sale, I give it a week before Forte is gone.

I know this is every fans thought but trust me when I tell you the Bears are the worst team in the NFL. Luckily for them the Cubs are taking attention away at least for another week.TCrouch wrote:After they beat the Raiders this week, everything will be back to normal.

A. Miami is much better than the Bears as evidence I present last years game or this years pre-season opening drive.Rodster wrote:There fixed, now bring on the start of the NBA season.Danimal wrote: I know this is every fans thought but trust me when I tell you the Dolphins are the worst team in the NFL. B. I said weeks ago it was funny how Miami fans thought they had anything. Being better than the worst team in the league still doesn't make you good.

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Team is fine, coaches are sh*t. The D Coordinator cannot scheme for his life and Philbin is not a leader. Makes for a really bad combo. Evidenced by how the Dolphins start...they just aren't up for games. Flat each and every week. The Dolphins are not even in the same stratosphere as the Bears so that comparison is ridiculous Rod. A few bad weeks doesn't make a team terrible...we'll see if someone can get motivated on the Dolphins (and they get a new D coordinator or it's going to be a long long year).Danimal wrote:A. The Bears are so bad that dumpster fires post pictures of the Bears in forum threads when something is a disaster.

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Don't worry, the Dolphins looked the same way last year. Then they got the Raiders at the same time, in London, and Tannehill looked like Jesus in Cleats out there. The Raiders have a way of being the cure for whatever ails a bad team. And the Bears have a decent tight end in Bennett. Oakland has made 2 average TEs and 1 good one look like hall of famers out there.
I just don't know who the hell is going to cover Amari Cooper. He has had 155 yards after the catch in the past two weeks, and has (at times) looked completely uncoverable. His start-and-stop ability is just silly. It's almost like it takes 1 step to get up to full speed.
So the Bears may have been shut out against Seattle, but Oakland isn't Seattle. It wouldn't surprise me if both teams end up scoring like mad in this game.

The nfc north is probably the worst division in football, except for green bay. Minnesota, Chicago and Detroit are all deplorable clubs.Danimal wrote:I know this is every fans thought but trust me when I tell you the Bears are the worst team in the NFL. AFC South. Colts, Titans, Texans, Jaguars. 1-2 leads the division. The division winner might have nine wins. Case closed.fletcher21 wrote:The nfc north is probably the worst division in football, except for green bay. Re: NFL 2015-16 season
The problem is that the Bears QB situation is the worst in the league with Cutler hurt. Clausen has no business suiting up but for some reason Bears coaches are incapable of seeing that. Last week retreads like Luke McCown passed circles around him. It is killing them because without even an average passing game, teams are going to stack the line and stop Forte. It's bad when you catch yourself wishing you had Ryan Mallett on the roster.TCrouch wrote:Don't worry, the Dolphins looked the same way last year. I definitely get the caution with the Raiders, I am always the same way when the Bears emerge form the suck cocoon to put a decent team together. But with Carr looking promising, Cooper turning into an exciting playmarker, and Latavius looking like a find at RB, there's a lot to be excited about. At least it looks like you'll be entertained.
Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Really hoping for the Jags to go 7-9 and win the division, just so we can see their Ron Jeremy-lookalike owner in the playoffs. Plus they have the most entertaining bad offense in the league, like watching a 10-year old play Madden and throw Four Verticals to the Allens at WR and go 10-33 for 300 yards, 2 TDs, and 5 picks.pk500 wrote:AFC South. Truth. But if Cutler practiced this week, isn't he playing Sunday? Everything I've heard out of Oakland is that they're fully expecting Cutler to be playing.Brando70 wrote:But with Carr looking promising, Cooper turning into an exciting playmarker, and Latavius looking like a find at RB, there's a lot to be excited about. Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Thoughts on Arizona? Some people on another forum I'm on think they are legit contenders. I am not sure, since I never see them play. I know a lot of it depends on Carson palmer. It sure is nice to see larry Fitzgerald bsck to his old dominating ways. My sister graduated high school with him and said he's (or at least was) a really good guy and down to earth. He reminds me of the nfl Derek jeter. Superstar who doesn't showboat or get into off the field issues with 9 baby mama's. No one is getting past green bay in the nfc I don't think.

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
It all depends on Palmer. Last year they were equally as dominant (6-0 I believe) until he got hurt then the revolving door of crappy QBs submarined their season. So as CP goes, so go the Cards. If he stays healthy, they are legit contenders for sure. They are kind of my adopted second favorite team...so I follow them a little bit.fletcher21 wrote:Thoughts on Arizona? Re: NFL 2015-16 season
I agree on C. Palmer. They were among the top teams last season until he torn his ACL, and they went south since. They do have one of the stingiest D and the pessimists will say that they are 3-0 because they beat some soft teams.
Fitzgerald is playing as he used 3 years ago and as soon on as their running game gets healthy again, they'll be contending for top spot along the Seahawks in the NFC West.
My question is more how legit are the Falcons?

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
With Julio Jones assaulting the league, and Freeman getting room underneath, I think they're far better than anybody expected. I've seen few coaches come in and overhaul an attitude like Quinn has with that defense. I've only watched their games on the NFL gamepass condensed version, but they get after the QB and are swarming on D. If you've got the combination of Ryan/Jones/Freeman on offense and a swarming D, they're going to be dangerous.
Not sure they're a title threat, but a Green Bay/Atlanta match up in the playoffs would be something else. The fact that Dallas was taking it to them, then they decided they had had enough of that mess, was an interesting statement. Resiliency like that means they're a team that won't be easily put away by anybody.

In my opinion they have one of the softest schedules in the league. Only Indy and maybe the Panthers are quality opponents.10spro wrote:My question is more how legit are the Falcons?

A benefit of going 6-10 and facing the NFC East while the Eagles are fumbling around and Dallas has a hurt Romo. Playing in the NFC South just makes it easier for them, no doubt.Danimal wrote:In my opinion they have one of the softest schedules in the league. Right you can only play who is on the schedule so not faulting them for it. I just don't know how I can tell if they are legit when they aren't really playing anyone.TCrouch wrote:A benefit of going 6-10 and facing the NFC East while the Eagles are fumbling around and Dallas has a hurt Romo. Re: NFL 2015-16 season
And the fact that the Cowboys gouged them for such huge yardage on the ground is concerning. But their other games, they've looked like a different defense. I don't know what to make of the Cowboys game yet--first half or second half the "real" Falcons? You'd think they'd have prepared for the ground game with Weeden starting, but it seemed to catch them off guard, or it could just be completely different blocking schemes than they used weeks 1 and 2.
Either way, when you've got Ryan slinging it to Julio and Freeman running like a beast...they're going to score some points, and that will keep them in the playoffs and dangerous once they get there. I don't think they could take Green Bay, though.
