Rainbow Six Siege Beta Key

Post by 10spro »

Folks, I have an extra beta key if anyone is interested in trying it for the Xbox One. I am in between travels currently and will award the beta key to the first PM.

Game is playable currently until the weekend I believe.

I have a key for the PC so I am letting someone else claim this. It's a lot of fun but I have no idea how they plan to charge $60 for this.

More details, Dan? This is the only non-sports game on my radar for the rest of 2015, but I don't want to pry open the money clip if this game doesn't deliver value.

Thanks.

Well in the beat there is multiplayer RS vs Terrorist and then my favorite mode terrorist hunt which is 1-4 player co-op. That's all good and a lot of fun but to my knowledge there is no single player in this game so I'm not sure it justifies a $60 price tag if that is what they sell it for.

Roger. Thanks.

I think I played Battlefield 4 single player for about five minutes and have at least 100 hours in multi-player, so I'm not too worried. I don't think I ever played single player in Rainbow 6 on the Xbox, either. Almost all MP.

Still, good to know. Thanks again for the feedback.

The beta was pretty bad. Matchmaking was not working well. Graphics looked worse to me than the Vegas games on the 360. Maps are a little too small. I expect this game will get delayed again.

RB6 was is one of my favorite series, but after the beta this went from preorder to budget bin purchase.

Thanks for the code 10spro! I completely forgot about using it this weekend. Ugh. Sorry. Is the beta over?

Very interesting comments Pete - you're usually one I trust on MP shooter type games so now I'm feeling a bit bummed.

Graphics were fine on the PC and the maps were the same size as some RS maps IMO. I didn't have issues with match making either. I'm not sure how many people were in the beta but I was impressed with no lag at all.

My main thing goes back to charging $60 for $30 worth of content.

Dan and Pete are right. Ubisoft has a LOT of work to do to bring this game from beta to finished level on par with past R6 games.

Graphics are Xbox 360 quality. Gameplay is very thin in the beta. Feels more like an expansion pack than a full game.

I also have serious questions about the online legs of R6: Siege. No online shooters ever have stamina with the DSP crowd anymore, and the level of teamwork required in this game doesn't dovetail well with the Mountain Dew-and-Skittles crowd. For example, my teammates killed me on purpose seconds after my very first online Terrorist Hunt match began. No respawns. Damn, that was fun.

Grateful for this beta. Might have just saved me $60 despite my disappointment. I was really looking forward to this title. My focus shifts to Star Wars Battlefront even though I'm not a Star Wars guy. Eager for that trial.

This game scares me a bit for The Division which is probably my #1 anticipated game.
