I am liking the Bears approach so far today.

Pound the ball.

Football is about man vs man. Do it!

The Dolphins are an absolute embarrassment. The only thing worse to happen is if the Rams fire Fisher and the Dolphins hire him as Philbins replacement and as screwed up as the Dolphins organization is, don't put it past them.

Bryce McCain is the worst DB I have ever seen play. He made a ridiculous interception week one and has been absolutely torched since. And he's afraid to tackle. Bad times for a defensive player.

Oh and Philbin needs to go.

I'm pretty sure Miami has the dumbest bunch of players on the field. Seriously so football dumb when it comes to common sense things.

As the saying goes "the fish rots from the head down". The coaching staff needs to go along with Mike Tannenbaum. The only person who did a good job was GM Dennis Hickey and Tannenbaum took away his responsibilities.

Coyle needs to go ASAP and Philbin protected this guy last year. Hey XXXIV, see you don't have the worse team in the league. :)

I know they are a young bunch but Seahawks' OL will need to improve as the opposition gets tougher. I thought CHI did pretty well overall rushing Wilson as he did his usual magic runs a few times while a sack would have been the norm with a Joe Blow QB. It was good to see Graham finally getting involved more offensively, I know he's not very good at blocking but it was good to see him getting a TD.

Lynch was questionable from the get go, and not being 100% it was smart to take him out of the game early. Like Graham, I'd like to see what Freddy Jackson can bring and get him more plays although the performance of rookie Thomas Rawls may change the coaches' decision.

Good to see Chancellor back finally and hopefully the Legion of Boom gel back together.

R. Sherman did dome punt returns doing his rookie year, nice to see him running the ball on Lockett's fake.

Whew, that's the last guy I would risk blowing out his knee. The Hawks need to revisit when the NY Giants had Jason Seahorn running back kickoffs. He was never the same after he blew out his ACL and MCL.

Always a risk in football, but if the opposition is not going to throw the ball his way, might as well keep him busy. It was a trick play obviously that I don't see Pete call on every weekend.

While the Bears game plan was admirable in the first half once things got worse the coaches played not to be embarrassed instead of trying to win. When you don't trust your backup QB to throw the ball that is a problem. It's just a plain whole sale horse s*** no talent team. The coaches no it, the fans no it and the players no it after that 2ns half BS. I hope once this gets to 0-6 they just play all their young guys so we can see if there is anything worth keeping and if you can trade Jefferies for a draft pick before the deadline do it.

It's hilarious--if week 1 never happened, I'd feel really good about the Raiders. They still have issues, but at least they appear to be competitive, other than that week 1 debacle.

They all said it was nerves and everybody wanted that game SO BADLY that they all played way too tight (and they said this prior to the week 2 game), but it's the first time in years where the offense looked competent in two consecutive games. The defense still sucks, and it was an equally poor team in the Browns, but the last time the Raiders were over .500 was in 2011. The last time they had a WR go back to back 100 yard games (as Amari Cooper has in his 2nd and 3rd game ever)? 10 years ago, Randy Moss.

They've been so bad, for so long, that even 2-1 feels like a victory.

I actually thought that...but then, this is the Raiders. There aren't many games they *should* win, but this is one of them. Recent history says they'll find a way to try to do something tricky and end up costing themselves a shot at a winnable game.

But the team I've seen the past two weeks resembles nothing I've seen in a decade or more. I wasn't sold on Carr heading into the season, because he threw a ton of dumpoffs week after week last year, in lopsided losses. Funny how an infusion of talent around him helped. He's 3 of 4 targeting Cooper downfield this year, but only 4 of 10 with everybody else.

And Cooper...he made Joe Haden look like total rubbish yesterday. Haden tried to press him on the first snap, Cooper easily shed him and caught a perfectly lofted fade. Tried to press him in man and he ripped past, then planted his heel in the turf and caught a comeback with tons of space around him. Haden finally said "enough with the press stuff" and played off. Cooper lulled him to sleep with a slow first step, and cut on a slant so hard and fast that it easily gained another first down, with Haden nowhere near him.

I wasn't sold on pretty much anybody coming into Oakland, because you can't get so many draft picks wrong for so many years without it being something in coaching or something they're doing to ruin players. But between Mack/Carr/OG Jackson/CB TJ Carrie (was something like 5th in catch allowed % on DBs with 100 or more snaps this season, at 41%), and Cooper....there's actually reason for hope. I know, I sound like a "stat fan", but it's more about looking up what I was seeing on the field. Cooper has been shredding people, and Carrie has been spectacular in coverage. The problem is DJ Hayden has blown, and their intended Nickel Back Keith McGill has, too. So bad that they claimed David Amerson off waivers from Washington and he played snaps at Nickel this week, 3 days after arriving. Craziness.

They could go on a losing spurt here at any moment, but they've already given me more joy this season than they have in the past 10 combined.

Would be nice if our TE could catch a wide open ball!!!

Good grief.. I don't know what's worse.. watching the Missouri offense or the Rams offense.

Don't forget my Onondaga High School boy Latavius Murray, Terry! He was a beast yesterday on the ground.

They finally handed him the ball enough to matter. Like the first couple of games, missed blocks led to a brutal start (something like 7 carries for 1 yard). He has to routinely dodge some unblocked defender 2 yards in the backfield carry after carry.

Then the flood gates opened, and as he was getting the hand off on that 54-yarder, I said (out loud) "Oh, sh*t, this is going to go big...". You could see J'Marcus Webb just paving a lane off RG. Once that run broke, then he was juking and jiving his way for 6 or 8 yard gains, just wore them down. How funny is it that Webb never played guard in his life, and yet he's a pretty good one? Not a great tackle at all, but as a guard, he gets out there and handles his business.

Murray is just so fun to watch. He's like a newborn calf out there, all janky and lanky limbs. He runs like he's always off balance, yet never is. And his cutback vision and ability to find that little crease is fun to watch. Basically, the polar opposite of Trent Richardson.

I used to affectionately refer to J'Marcus Webb as Turnstyle. I didn't even know he was still in the league. Good for him if he is finding new life at guard.

People around here are so apathetic on the Bears that it's virtually impossible to be angry. Previous management has made it so that even a rebuild can't be accomplished properly. I really think they are the worst team in the NFL from a talent and a future potential standpoint.

This team is going to suck for a long time.

That's what I heard. But he cemented himself as the starting RG almost immediately. They signed him off the street, and told him he's playing Guard. He sort of freaked out at first, he said, but he's taken to it. Line hasn't given up a sack in 3 games, with ol' turnstyle in there for every snap.

And here's Murray's 54-yard run with #76 Webb sealing the ILB right at the point of attack:

When I saw they signed him, it was a big "pointless" sigh. But he's been surprisingly solid at guard.

They will win. I know in today's NFL any team on any given Sunday blah blah blah. The guy who said that never watched Jimmy Clausen play QB. And nice to see you having something to cheer for, Terry.

The Bears will probably win a couple games simply because they play Detroit twice and have to play the Bucs and Niners, the only other teams that are close to Chicago in the flaming shitshow department. But this is even worse than I expected, and there's very little to look forward to in terms of next season. Forte may very well walk after this year (and why not?), yet another #1 pick may not play the season he was drafted, and our sulky, sucky QB is still owed a gazillion dollars that count toward the cap. Plus our youthful GM reminds me more and more of Louis CK's agent in Louie. Really, the most exciting plays for fans this year will be watching our kickers try to tackle guys on returns.
