Still winless in Seattle. When is Jimmy Graham going to be used?
Re: NFL 2015-16 season
That's my fault. I put him on my Fantasy Ship of Doom team along with Dez Bryant and Tony Romo. It's been a rough couple weeks, but it'll all be over as he sails down the river on the IR Express in the next couple weeks.10spro wrote:Still winless in Seattle. When is Jimmy Graham going to be used?

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Yeah, surprising to say the least. Tough to be excited when your defense gives up almost 500 yards, but a win is a win when you only get a few per year. The offense looked legit, and I wouldn't blame all of that on Terrelle Suggs being out. Maybe a few plays where Carr had a long time to throw, but it's not like Suggs would have had 10 sacks himself.10spro wrote:Wow, nice win for the Raiders.
There were a lot of quick screens, and then they'd play off of those to throw a deep pass out of the same formation. Carr hits a big run to the left side, and the next play he rolls out left like he's running--then turns and fires a deep ball across the field to a wide open Crabtree for a TD. The play calling was imaginative and reason to have some form of hope.
They all blamed week 1 on that "gotta get this win to show everybody how much we improved", and instead laid a giant egg. Can't get too excited on a week 1 win, or low after a week 1 loss...but I just wanted them to at least look competitive. Yesterday, they did. Amari Cooper had his way with Jimmy Smith after enduring easy drops on his first two targets. After that, Smith was holding (called twice), burned, and lost track of him several more times on 3rd down catches.
How's this for a sobering stat--Crabtree and Cooper both went over 100 yards yesterday. The last time that happened was in 2005, with Randy Moss and Doug Gabriel. Yeah, the offense has been inept for a decade...and there's no guarantee that they will be competent this year, but they sure looked good yesterday against a pretty good defense that held Peyton Manning to 170 yards the week before.

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Listening and reading Chicago Sports media today it's no wonder I'm surrounded by meat head Bears fans. How many times does the same thing have to repeat itself to make them realize no coach can take sub-par talent and do anything with it?
I predicted 5 winds at the start of the year, I'm thinking I might move that down to 3.

The way the Dolphins have started their season, they could be looking at 3 wins as well. Oh well at least DB gets to visit Miami when the weathers nice.Danimal wrote:Listening and reading Chicago Sports media today it's no wonder I'm surrounded by meat head Bears fans. Oh and that Suh honeymoon could quickly be coming to an end. He had no sacks and 1 tackle in yesterdays game and just went off script, basically doing what the hell he wanted to on the field. Maybe those Haynesworth comparisons might be on the mark.
Re: NFL 2015-16 season
The one silver lining -- and really the only one for me -- is that the coaching change has been an improvement. The Bears roster is a mess, and giving up 48 points an embarrassment, but offensively they moved the ball well for a game and a half despite a patchwork o-line and a lot of injuries on offense. This defense is going to suck all season long because they don't have the right personnel or much talent, but I'm at least interested to see what Adam Gase can do with Clausen Pickles as his QB.Danimal wrote:Listening and reading Chicago Sports media today it's no wonder I'm surrounded by meat head Bears fans. But it can't get much more Bears than Cutler pulling a hammy on a pick-six he threw where even an enormous receiver with a Rodan-sized wingspan couldn't grab it.

You had me until this. Nobody can do anything with that POS. They're better off going to Fales or playing a waiver wire scratch-off QB lottery ticket.Brando70 wrote: but I'm at least interested to see what Adam Gase can do with Clausen Pickles as his QB.

Right, I should have qualified the statement: can they still run the ball with Clausen at QB? Because no one can throw with that asshole.RobVarak wrote:You had me until this. Ditto, I'd rather just see Fales and Langford at some point. Trade Forte since you're not going to resign him and get some value for him, btw i say this with him being my favorite player on the team or in recent memory.RobVarak wrote:You had me until this. This season is s***, everyone knows it. See what you have and start cutting ties and start thinking long term about a QB. Cutler just continues to prove he is not a leader. For f***'s sake, Romo was on the sidelines with a broken whatever and Jay was not on the sidelines again as far as I could see.

They didn't want him on the sideline. The absence of a limp and the cuckoo birds spinning around his head might undermine their farcical "hamstring" claims.Danimal wrote: Cutler just continues to prove he is not a leader. Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Are you claiming he has a concussion and the Bears are violating league protocol nu not reporting it? What would be the benefit in that with this team?RobVarak wrote:They didn't want him on the sideline. I don't think there's any evidence to suggest anything other conclusion.Danimal wrote: Are you claiming he has a concussion and the Bears are violating league protocol nu not reporting it? What would be the benefit in that with this team?

The benefit is that it keeps the "independent" neurologist out of the equation and lets the team decide his timetable for a return.
It's not like they can win an NFL game with any of the other QB's on this roster, so "development year" or not, that Pace/Fox want Cutler out there ASAP. Neither of them is looking at 0-16 as a reasonable goal, as much as fans might want it to happen.

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
The play Cutler got hurt on doesn't seem to fit a hamstring injury unless he hurt it when he dove for the tackle. But he got up and walked off the field without any noticeable limp. At the same time, he got off the field so quickly, I don't think he had a concussion either. Given how cagey Fox has been with the injuries, it could be anything.
Re: NFL 2015-16 season
The Dolphins better win or the fire Philbin chants will start. Both Philbin and the Dolphins picked the wrong week for needing a win because the Bills are playing better than the Dolphins and Rex Ryan is a MUCH better HC than Joe Philbin. The Dolphins have also had a losing record vs the Bills the last few years.

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Looks like the game started without the Rams again this week.
They tightened up inside the five but that drive was too easy for the three.
Same thing second drive...Hot knife thru butter.
Clock ticking on the d*****bag fisher...Second straight week team unprepared to play at games start.
Team has gotten worse every year his term as coach. These are his f***in players now. Enough off the excuses! Time to put up!

Re: NFL 2015-16 season
9-3 not so bad considering how easily the Steelers moved the ball. Thanks to them for trying the 2pt conversion.
Re: NFL 2015-16 season
Wow those stats are pretty clear his team is going in reverse. Philbin is no better in Miami.
Re: NFL 2015-16 season
What HELL has happened to Andrew Luck and the Colts? So far this season Tannehill is the best QB out of his draft class.

I didnt see that ball hit the ground but no matter the Rams deserved to lose.
They sucked from start to finish.
I dont see where there is a more poorly coached team in the league.
I have had it with this retarded c*** fisher.
ENOUGH FROM THE CLOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
