All the maps dlc for Titanfall comes free w the ea access version. Nice. Not sure if this has always been free.

Is there an offline mode or is it all online. I'm trying to get used to it but it's really hard since all the other players are more experienced.

I just ground it out online. Play co-op. It's a good way to raise your rank without getting slaughtered by very experienced players every 10 seconds.

Maybe I'm missing something, but $29.99 is the normal one-year price for one year of EA Access.

Perhaps the news is more options on purchase of subscription. When I subscribed there was only one option, buy with credit card through EA Access App on XB1.

That is good news. I usually use paypal for gaming purchases and it was bs ea forced you to use only CC for purchasing.

Naval Strike expansion for Battlefield 4 is free to keep if you download it by 9/3. This was the best BF4 add on IMO.

Download is crawling. I think there are server problems at EA. I was bounced from Battlefield 4 and FIFA 16 EA servers this afternoon -- vacation week! -- and my Internet speeds are normal, according to a Speednet test.

I've noticed that on days that new games hit EA Access, there are issues. If you wait a day or two, it's probably going to be fine.

EA does have flaky servers, though.

initial impressions : you will spend more time watching actors than playing the actual game. Its like watch 2-3 min of an FMV clip, then race for 30-40 seconds. No way to skip the FMV thus far into the game.

I've always hated that s*** with a lot of EA's games. I don't mind the FMV's, but give me the f'ing option of skipping them! Same thing with some of the presentation sequences in Madden.

Always an exception to that rule, we never skipped listening to what Dick Fain had to say in between periods of NHL Rivals.
