My fault for not checking the schedule. Hopefully, they don't have any midweek morning games.....
Its ok Macca i missed the rangers game yesterday and i even heard 10's complain about "who watches hockey in the afternoon" but i didnt know he meant 10 am :o thats EPL time for crying out loud.
I felt bad for Gerrard. That was horrible.

To me the story was not only Anderson but Boudreau. Q needs to counter.
Was Bodreau tending goal in the 1st?

This tourney has never done anything for me. Having said that. That was a pretty dominant performance by Canada and done with only two members of the 2014 Olympic gold team. Depth is a beautiful thing as out scoring your opponents 17-1 in the four elimination games is as good as it gets.

For those in Canada thinking this will become a yearly thing...I DOUBT this many high quality players will go to Moscow next year. Oh and Sid gratz on the triple gold but not really cause you are one that will not travel to Russian in 2016.

Yeah, pretty non important event compared to the Olympics if you ask me. But considering the amount of high NHL'ers that committed to this tournament once their teams were eliminated in the playoffs, (including Ovechkin right after the Caps' loss) the quality of the event took off compared to other years.

And in what's a predictable finals yearly, team Canada whipped their arch rivals team Russia 6-1.

Whoever took the Ducks lightly is a fool.

I'm still uncomfortable with the whole match up, but it's not as big a gap as some would think. One game doesn't make a series, but 90% of the time, if Chicago plays like that to open a game, they're sitting on a 2-0 or 3-0 lead midway through the second.

I'm hoping that the third was the Ducks finally settling in to what Chicago could do, and not being like they've been all season--mediocre early, great late. If they continue to play like that, they'll find themselves down 2 games to 1 (or 3-1) in a heartbeat. This Ducks team is much different than years past...they don't get angry when stuff goes wrong. They just go about their business with different levels of urgency. I'm excited to see them play every game, and as long as it's close in the third, I always think they'll pull it off (even when they don't).

They're a great club, but not QUITE as good as Chicago. And where Chicago is good is where the Ducks are weak. I didn't think they'd get blown out of the building by them, but I didn't expect to see Chicago skating so freely through the first couple of periods. My only hope is that all of those massive hits that Anaheim is laying on them will add up, as nothing slows a team down like bruises all over their body.

I said it last week but the extended layoff hurt the Hawks, This years team is the streakiest I can remember and in the past it could take a few games for them to get that fire again and be ok, but they can't do that against the Ducks. To me game 2 is a pivotal game for how this series will go.

If the Lightning can hold on and win this game...They have a real shot at being somebody.

That period ended under one hell of a siege.

The playoffs are not the regular season,I get that ,but the Bolts don't take a backseat to anyone left in the playoffs.
They took all three from the Rangers , both games from Anaheim , and split with the Hawks , shutting them out and losing a shootout.
The biggest problem with the Tampa is their penchant for stupid ass turnovers in their own zone , and hanging Bishop out to dry.
If Bishop can stay solid the Bolts can win this as well as anyone.

They were my pick to win the east and this is the second time in the last five years I have rooted for the Lightning in the semis.

I believe you.
