Yeah, Gurley was a great pick, for the LA Rams. He can't be counted on for this season, and the Rams don't care how bad they suck in their final year here.

I think it was a big "F*** you," to the fans.

And Zac Stacy has already requested a trade. LOL.

Shouldnt Mason be asking for the trade?

Tre got the carries from week six on and had a good rookie year.

I love the idea of a Mason Gurley tandem.

As for the FU to the fans I never thought of that. Im not from there....Id rather have them driving distance but Ive been a fan since 74 so ....

Not to be outdone the Dolphins decided to one up the Rams and select another RB (Jay Ajayi) with blown out knees except his knees are said to be bone on bone. I guess that's what you call a value pick. :P

I like what were reading on Grayson (Colorado St), QB. When factoring in, the Jets didn't select him, the chances of him being NFL capable inherently improve.

Brady likely knew about deflating.

However, it seems the effort to cover up or not cooperating with the investigation may end up being bigger than the actual crime.

Will Goddell have the balls to hand out substantive punishment to the Pats or Brady?

I was listening to Drew Bledsoe on the Jim Rome show back when this all started and he said it's not uncommon for players especially the kickers to throw them in the washer or dryer to totally mess them up before game time. He also said it's common practice for QB's to let air out for a better grip.

The NFL should hand all the balls over to the officials, problem solved.

Dante Fowler, Jr. tears his ACL on the first practice of his first day.

Unbelievably bad luck.

Didn't they say that initially the refs had the legit balls but at some point, they were switched?

Problem is that Brady didn't come clean initially or cooperate in the investigation.

Look at some of the penalties Goddell has handed out in recent years. Really the only light sentence he gave out was to Rice for the 2 games, something which he had to withdraw and make more severe.

People arguing for leniency say it's not a big deal, Pats were going to kick the Colts butts in that game regardless, all QBs make the ball the way they like it, etc. Again, the coverup may be what's punished more than the infraction.

the texts are classic.

Leaving out the customary bad words....Brady is a liar who bribes others to have his balls deflated.

I think he should be made to coach Cutler. That is real punishment.

It is in the best interest of the league to nip this one quickly in their fat ass and suspend Brady for a game or two, fine the organization, take a draft pick, something. Nothing nor anyone will question Brady's legacy and I can see him apologizing in early camp to all his fans, and acknowledge his competitive nature in supporting the team's latest transgression.

And admit that the Seahawks gift wrapped the SB to them.

Tom Brady suspended four games for his role in #DeflateGate

The NFL didn’t wait long to digest the Ted Wells report, and issue its findings. As punishment for the Patriots’ “more probable than not” tampering with footballs, the league has suspended quarterback Tom Brady four games, fined the team $1 million and taken away their first-round picks in 2016 and fourth-rounder in 2017.

$1 million and two draft choices. That hurts more than a 4 game suspension. I still think Bill Billicheat was in on it.

It's all because of the cover up. In the beginning just say yeah "I told them to take some air out of the balls we can't do that?" and nothing much happens. Hell McNabb didn't know you could have ties in the NFL so someone not knowing this stupid rule is believable.

However the Patriots think their s*** don't stink and they are above everyone and that's what got you today. It will all be appealed down but the lasting image on legacies won't be.

I wonder if his cozy relationship with Mr Kraft in the past has driven Goddell to yet misjudge his latest punishment to a transgression that pales in comparison to recent more noticeable sins. I ain't a Patriots' fan of course, but how do you suspend 4 games to a QB for sucking sq inches of air in a football while a rat like RR gets originally two games for domestic violence as the whole world witnessed the video but was not available to the league? The crime would have been appropriate for a game or two max plus a fine, but there's no doubt that the league acted rather harshly, overzealous this time around and is completely out of touch with the public acting only in a guilty fashion for their past lousy decisions.

Maybe the teams' bad reputation with cheating in the past that started with Spygate has some kind of weight in it, but is it too difficult for the league to just get it right the first time around? An appeal in on a way, and I am sure that Brady's suspension will get minimized to 2 at the end of the day. I don't think they can do anything about the draft picks. They are gone. But instead of tarnishing #12's image in overreacting for their past misjudgements, I am afraid that the league is making Pats fans buy even more Brady's jerseys in further support of the future HoF.
