Would it kill EA to make a soccer game AI that actually plays like a soccer team?

The solution is the only thing they didn't steal from PES years ago: Have crap players actually be crap. This opens up the entire experience and makes it so much more dynamic. Can't play like Barca with players from the Brazilian second division...except in FIFA.
Oddly enough PES has abandoned this as well, so that's not likely to happen again in either series.
There's certainly less differentiation between players in PES than in earlier titles in the series but it still has the basic gameplay and AI teamwork that are heads and shoulders above FIFA. FIFA AI play reminds me of a cross between Barcelona and the Harlem Globetrotters.

I've always had some trouble in FIFA games crossing from the wings, but in the little I've played of this, I'm finding it nearly impossible. Even the quickest tap of the cross button when I'm down the wing below the 18 yard box results in a massive ball that goes all the way across to the opposite wing. I can't for the life of me find a way to produce a dangerous ball in the middle of the box near my striker for an attempt on goal.
Any tips? I've tried the occasional double tap but it doesn't seem to solve the issue.
Otherwise, I have to say that even in my limited time with this game I am very impressed and encouraged with the changes from last year. The physical interactions among players are random, various, unpredictable, and make for a much more fun experience on the pitch. Mind you, I exclusively play online head to head games and mostly in the FUT mode. (I so wish I could get one, just one super valuable player in a pack so I can bankroll some fun teams. Just one Muller or Ronaldo or something worth over 100K on the market!)
Crossing is dead this year. Last year they opened it up and it was a breath of fresh air. It was probably too easy in last years version but I liked that since it was harder to do last gen. But this year they went extreme the other way and made it virtually impossible.
I had a chance to play the Kick Off match while FIFA 15 is still downloading. So far from a few games I played between Liverpool and Man City it's the typical FIFA with all it's inherent gremlins. The backline defense is still a mess especially when trying to close in on an attacker, holes are left open straight to the GK.
The CPU's backline is also a mess as gaping holes are left open for a 1 on 1 straight to the GK. I've seen the CPU kick the ball out of bounds with questionable attacking pressure. I've seen the CPU GK throw the ball out of bounds with little to no pressure.
Things that I do like is the lack of pin point accuracy when passing the ball to one of your teammates. The game just looks stunning but I still go back to PES 2015 on the PC. It still plays a better game of football and you feel like you are part of a team. In FIFA it still produces that feeling of me vs the world type of play.
