I didn't even load my 360 saves, so I've got a completely virgin install with no legendaries to twink down to my lower toons. I will not be blowing through anything! I can always slow down if that's preferred, too...just say something lol
It'd be fun to crank that difficulty up to Expert or Master or something with level 1 toons and see what kind of trouble we can get into, though. When do you guys wanna try it?
I remember having trouble my first play through on the pc but not so on XB1...The way the loot is dropping you will be destroying everything on normal in no time.
The game is far too easy on normal for sure but Im just a loot whore.
Im thinking they made it this easy on purpose so you get to the new stuff fast. Like the lvling on WoW. It took me months to get from 1-60 in the original game. On the latter expansion it was just a few days to get from 1-85.
Im probably a go tonight after 7-8 central.

Yeah, that was awesome. It's crazy how such an old game can still scratch that itch. And getting legendary drops in the first session with a new toon was pretty nice!
Digging up this dusty old thread because I finally purchased Diablo III in the current Xbox Spring Sale. There’s one buddy of mine from NYC who’s free to game with me some afternoons (my nights), and since his Xbox has been mothballed for some time, we’ve been trying Xbox-PC cross platform games, which are very limited. We’ve been working through Deep Rock Galactic, which is pretty fun, but not that engaging tbh.
My purchasing of Diablo has motovated him to rekindle his XBL account. Pretty strong pull for such an old game! When I searched for this thread, I couldn’t believe it started nine years ago, and the last post was in 2015. And the game (full, all-DLC version) is STILL a full $60 for digital d/l, which is why I snapped it up in the sale for $20.
Anyway, as a total newb to this game (and I guess this isometric action genre as a whole), I wanted to see if any of you old Diablo vets could give me some quick beginner tips or long-view advice about what to avoid or how to approach it. Anyone willing to cast back into the “way-back”machine of the mind and throw out a few crumbs of advice for this (unwillingly) lapsing gamer?
