XBox One AND PS4 Discussion

Interestingly, my disc drive in my Xbox One is bad. I have no idea how long it was bad, since it had been so long I didn't even remember that there was a disc in the drive. So the new disc based games were out on christmas. Instead, digital games worked.

And it was one day that I figured would be a slog anyway. I still want that digital future Microsoft wanted, where I could buy, sell, and trade digital games. The fast we go 100%, the faster we see Steam and PC type pricing.

It's video games. My cable TV goes out. My internet goes out. My power goes out. Sometimes I can't get a signal on my phone. Give me a better product experience for the 360+ days it works perfectly, and I will deal with few times it shits the bed.

Pretty much. I bought Alien: Isolation for $30 last night, and Sunset Overdrive is $30 today. Digital prices are already drooping faster than they used to.

Was playing madden, XBL went down, game kicked me out.

I guess both SONY and MS are really doing that 'have to be connected to the internet' that was such a big deal during the Mattrick debacle.

The majority of games now need to be internet connected unless you just want to play PLAY NOW games.

btw Madden XBO vs Madden PS4 -

-PS4 better lighting, esp at night games. XBO a bit dark.
-More pixels on XBO version, not a big deal. Game looks great still
-Control/gameplay - XBO - I like the control better on XBO. I like using the XBO controller over PS4 DS4 as well.
-Graphics - they're pretty much the same.

The sad thing is there really isn't anything that can be done in a large-scale attack, other than hope you're not a target.

Well I played 2.5 hours NHL OTP on Live last night and am in the lobby #1 right now.

Its working for me...

So it may just be a regional or service specific thing. I suggest trying before buying.

No...just means I want an XBO in my office, along w/ my PS4...instead of one in either room. I rarely get to game on the main room TV...so having one in both spots is fine with me. In retrospect, I suppose I should have just gotten another PS4...but the wife likes the kinect workout stuff, and well, who am I to argue with that.

I will still buy most cross platform games on the PS4 unless there's a big following on here. But then again, I can't really game until 10ish PST...and you all are long gone by then.

We added a 3rd PS4 to the household on Christmas. Now both my boys as well as myself have our own and can game online together. It will probably be another year before we add an Xbone to the house but I'm sure we will get one for the new Halo game.

It was up this morning....I was online and then logged off around 9am and couldn't get back in, my son has been online all day playing COD with his friends but he never turned his off once it came up last night. As of 7:30pm CST all three of our PS4's are up and online.

xbox one owners - werid thing - I turned off the console but the white light on the console is blinking, and the controller light is still on. What does this mean?

The system either is shutting down or is downloading updates automatically, etc. Don't worry about it -- the console and controller will shut off automatically when the process is done.

Yup, i've seen that go for as long as 20 mins before it finally turns off.

Yep, what Paul said. I always shut off the controller though. Hold in the Xbox button and it will prompt you to either shut off the controller or the console.
