He's an icon in Montreal, a true legend of the sport. Some may argue that skill wise he was better than the Rocket Richard, or G. Lafleur. Won many Lord Stanley's, and was a great ambassador for the sport.

RIP J.Beliveau.

Still struggling with his health is Gordie Howe.

The EDM Oilers are a complete joke. About 10 days ago they held a press conference stating that the coaching staff was NOT to blame for their pissed poor performances. What do they do today? Fire D. Eakins a much coveted asset by many teams two years back. Don't get me wrong, I am sure that he's part of the problem BUT not the main one which starts with K. Lowe. I don't see the fascination from the owners for this guy, yes he's been a icon in the 80's for the team but how many coaching staff, GM's have been fired already under his leadership?

And now, MacT is to take over on top of his GM duties? That's going to turn things around in a hurry.

At this point they must as well for the C. McDavid sweepstakes.

In other news, over a number of players have the mumps, the latest none other S. Crosby. Some players started wearing masks in practice...

Top two prospects in the game, the World Juniors in Montreal between team Canada and team USA was a wild affair. This Max Domi dude plays a totally different game than his dad's.

He's something else isn't he? Not a big dude like his dad, but infinitely more talented. Maybe the Russians should make another goalie change. Go Canada go!

Oh oh.
If they keep getting penalized they are going to get burned. Russians have a lethal PP, its the juniors anything can happen.

I am losing count, maybe the fourth in a row to start the last period. What a game, what speed and drama. Typical of the historic encounters with the Russians, Juniors or not.

Canada hasn't seen much of McDavid because they have to kill all those penalties. I love how the Russians work their PP, their point men sure can blast their cannons. Should be an exciting third to come.

Successful return of Roberto Luongo to Lotus land as he stoned the Canucks 3-1. Unlike R. Kesler he was cheered for the eight years he wore the uniform and was just a game short of winning the Stanley Cup. He's the reason the Panthers can sniff into the playoffs, a young speedy team mixed with some veterans.

Louuuuuu was great in net, Canucks need to improve their man advantage pronto. It absolutely sucked tonight.
