Yes. You can customize the entire controller scheme if the 2 pre-set options don't work for you.sportdan30 wrote:Is it possible to configre the same button controls as in FIFA?

That's cool. I always prefer to use a trigger instead of a shoulder button for speed burst.dbdynsty25 wrote:Yes. You can customize the entire controller scheme if the 2 pre-set options don't work for you.sportdan30 wrote:Is it possible to configre the same button controls as in FIFA?

Re: PES 2015
I need to consider PES 2015. I thought the demo was stiff, lacking the fluidity in controls of FIFA 15. But I'm tiring quickly of the lack of realism in FIFA's offensive buildup.
A recent review of PES 2015 -- I think it was at the always-excellent Eurogamer -- said FIFA 15 specializes in the big moments of football. The super moves, ball tricks, stupendous shots, outrageous saves, etc. You see fleeting glimpses of that in a real football match, but it's the core of the FIFA engine. PES 2015 focuses on everything else -- in other words, real football.
I'm starting to think FIFA 15 is the NBA Live 15 of soccer games. Simple, focusing on one-on-one play with little formation or technical complexity. PES 2015 is more like NBA 2K15. It focuses more on tactics, plays and subtle skills.
2K15 is my preferred flavor of hoops games. So I'm starting to think PES 2015 might suit my footy jones better, especially since I'm more of an offline player.
My only hesitation is the lack of licenses and the inability to download option files for PES 2015.

Re: PES 2015
This is a 100% accurate assessment, and I'm not even a HUGE soccer fan. I can certainly appreciate the difference. I'll still keep Fifa around for some multiplayer action with my bro when he comes up, but if I'm relying on AI, PES is where it's at.pk500 wrote:I'm starting to think FIFA 15 is the NBA Live 15 of soccer games. Makes me want to trade in FIFA after reading this.
Is it possible to configre the same button controls as in FIFA?
Re: PES 2015
I finally got a B2G1 match on Target's website. Hopefully Target will get me my games before Christmas.

Re: PES 2015
Wait. So for next gen there are no option files to get the real teams and uniforms?
Re: PES 2015
None for the moment, you have to edit things yourself which would take forever. I can wait for a guru to come up with the latest kits, players and stadiums because I love the gameplay and hopefully someone find a way to insert that info into either console before year's end.Inuyasha wrote:Wait. Re: PES 2015
The way you turn, the way you pivot, first touch and change of pace is way more realistic than Fifa. The goalie animations are sometimes delayed but overall all the action is fought nicely in midfield. The AI makes such smart runs at times that makes you salivate.
I understand the PC is a mess so stay away for now.

Re: PES 2015
Hey guys...long time no post.
PES 2015 has convinced me to re-purchase the PS4 (my wife may roll her eyes, but I know you guys understand and may share in this affliction of buying/re-buying consoles).
I would have to agree with the impressions thus far - It plays a very organic game of footy. I play 99.9% of my games offline, so I'm always looking for realistic opponent offensive AI in my sports games. PES 2015 definitely destroys FIFA (as db mentioned) in this regard. Last night, Real Madrid came out firing and jumped in front 2-0. After that, they were more cautious - and didn't attack at every opportunity. A refreshing change from FIFA, where I felt (in FIFA 14 anyway) that the CPU would always press forward, and in predictable ways.
And even though PES may trail FIFA in the presentation department, the player likeness (especially as showcased in the player intros) is truly jaw-dropping. To me, this is what pulls me into the whole experience and is a great lead-in to the the actual gameplay.
Another bonus - playing PES on the dualshock 4!
The lack of licenses does bother me as well, but the Champions League license certainly helps a bit.

Ive seen some awesome punching animations from Mignolet very refreshing, though still quirky goalies seem much better.10spro wrote:The way you turn, the way you pivot, first touch and change of pace is way more realistic than Fifa. So the demo doesnt match the full game? I avoided dl'ing the demo since it got bad reviews.

Don't know who told you that, because I decided to buy the game based on the promising demo.Inuyasha wrote:So the demo doesnt match the full game? I avoided dl'ing the demo since it got bad reviews.

Re: PES 2015
Im really enjoying pes when i play it, (tough to rotate all my games right now) my tip for this game is dont go to pes forums to find out all the problems with the game, just play the game and enjoy it in all its on the pitch glory, the pitch is theirs, chances are you wont even notice 90% of problems people harp on.
Ive started doing some crude editing of kits and names, the licensing really does hold this game back some especially if your a fan of the 2 top leagues in the world right now EPL and Bundesliga but you can at least get the teams to be better recognized and even get the commentary to say 90% of the team names, some are not there like Arsenal but its something.
Id say its well worth a purchase at this point, especially if you spent full price on EA's NHL product this year.
Much better effort from Konami and much closer to its glory days on the pitch for sure.

It will be a while but i think for xbox i hear it can be done.
Re: PES 2015
I decided to pick this up now that they dropped the price down to $39.99. I've only played one game, but wow, it was an impressive game. The AI is definitely more patient and creative on the attack than FIFA, they kept me on my toes.
Really looking forward to spending more time with it. Are there any shortcuts to ease all of the editing for the PS4 version?

Re: PES 2015
Apparently Konami is not doing well and PES 2016 could be the end of the series. http://www.technewstoday.com/23380-will ... in-series/
That being said, i've spent much of the last 10 days playing PES games going back to 2010. 2011 has really caught my fancy and it's the game I keep putting back in. I love the lighting and there's something addictive about the gameplay. 2013 is also very enjoyable.
Somehow, my enjoyment of 2015 has taken a bit of a dip.. almost like the updates have tweaked the gameplay from the original thrill of the demo
