Huh? Guess you didn't pre-order and pre-load. I did that yesterday morning and left my system on standbye while it downloaded (and I went to work). Got home, fired it up at 9:10pm and voila...playing the game shortly thereafter.

NBA 2K15 is just as bad when it comes to online features. They had a great Online Association (multiple seasons, player progression, salary caps, scouting NBA draft, etc.) but that was stripped out of the game. The barebones online leagues now in the game have less options than they did 10 years ago.

I literally had to play through the Spurs/Heat intial game with the music in order to get to the main screen. There was no install percentage showing, so it was installing in the back ground, but took over an hour. Apparently it was a 53GB install.
Game is great as I already stated. Floor spacing is much better, pick and rolls are no longer automatic, the players act and move like their real counterparts.
Maybe it's just me, but the quick camera cut aways after a made basket are distracting. It's much too fast for my tastes. Makes me a little dizzy.

I hate the camera cut aways...I turn those off as soon as possible. The auto-hightlights are okay...but the quick cuts suck.

Doubtful, it holds it's value for the first several months because it's the only BB game on the PC. Maybe during the Steam holiday sales in Dec.
I was interested in the game and read the reviews. It requires a hefty system this time around. Performance is all over the place depending on the system.

Last year 2k14 was on sale within 30 days if I recall correctly. It's only #6 on the popular new releases which means it will be out of the top 10 within a week if patterns hold true. Either way I can wait until December, I have plenty of games to play and more coming out I will get more time out of than a new NBA game.

This years edition is being sold as next gen worthy. Previous games were not so that's probablly why they dropped in price and IIRC a couple of years ago Amazon was selling NBA2K preorders for $20.
My Player starts out asking for the team you'd like to play for. I tried with a couple of positions the Knicks needed, but they did not come up as a choice. I ended up going with the Rockets as a PG. Pete Lampley will be an assist machine feeding D. Howard in the post.
The first game I played for about 8 minutes, got a basket, 3 assists and one turnover. B grade. Not bad I thought, but after the game Harden said I played like a bum.

If you played defense for more than two trips down the floor during the game, you're already a more complete player than Harden.

I couldn't find the answer to this but are there ANY performance diferrences between the PS4 and XONE? I preordered it from Buy/Ebay (XONE) and found out too late they were selling the PS4 version for the same price.
Was at GS tonight and they had the full 2k15 game in. Got to say wow, what an improvement over 2k14. Presentation was awesome and the graphics looked so sharp.
The NBA 2K15 free mobile app is available. Like last year you can earn VC on a daily basis for the console game. There is also a card game which is not bad and earns VC.
So I bought this game last night. How long does it take to install onto the PS4? All I could do was plays Spurs and Heat. After 30 minutes I gave up and turned it off cause it was late. Does it take over an hour?

Yes. This game is HUGE. The X1 version is 46 GB, which is almost double the size of any other game on my drive.
GTA V might melt my hard drive.

I'm going to be running a small online league on XB1. It will be one game per week against another member as there are no CPU controlled teams in online leagues. Skill level is casual.

Thanks..that's good to know. I will do it tonight when I have some more time.
Question about rosters. I am playing in My League. I have 15 players on my roster, but I don't see any way to choose which ones I want active for games. When I go into Front Office, it shows all 15 players, but there is no way to set the active 12. When I go into the edit lineup before a game, two of my players aren't available for me to choose.

Is there any way to adjust this?
Thanks.
Rick
It should be under rotations (in the coaching menu). Where you assign the minutes for each player.
