And we can play private rooms nowadays? If so, I might pull the trigger on that deal. This is the one game that I never even bothered with, since it came out on the same day as Dark Souls 2.

That is a grew deal, but I have to wonder how much of TF's user base will move over to the MCC in a couple of weeks. And for a MP only game, it could be kind of a big impact.

It very well might, but given that I find Titanfall to be a better experience than all of the Halos put together, I'm happy to invest in all the DLC they are willing to throw my way.

I have no problem with that, as I already have Titanfall and the Season Pass. I think Titanfall is a lot of fun.

But my thought about the good deal is that EA may be thinking this is their last chance to grab some revenue before Halo takes over MP shooters on the XBL. I deleted Destiny because Titanfall is a better, more streamlined online game. I will likely delete Titanfall of the same reason, although how much better Halo is might be dependent on how much you like Halo MP. But Halo is taking up a giant chunk of my hard drive, so some culling is in order.

What I really need to do is just get a decent 2 TB hard drive to plug into the console.

I have a 1TB drive on standby and I will be needing it soon with all the games coming out over the next month.

I think there will still be a big enough online community playing Titanfall despite the new releases. Private lobbies are in. The horde mode only needs 4 and a new 2 v 2 Last Titan Standing mode is supposed to come in another free update.

Holy f*ck -- I had no idea Titanfall was this much fun. Digging it, especially the weapon balance. I'm competitive and able to survive for more than a few seconds after respawns due to smart game design, unlike some other online shooters.

Most of my disenchantment with Destiny stems from the extent to which it wasn't even remotely in the same class as Titanfall on any level. TF is a superb game. Addictive, easy to get into and yet challenging to master, epic moments...it's got it all.

Easy to get into and challenging to master sums up the game perfectly. I've been playing off and on since the spring (I think I'm a Gen 6) but just recently the traversal and wall running just kind of clicked for me. Oh man how much fun it is once you get comfortable and can leap off a roof, hit a wall running and accelerate off over another building in a fraction of the time it would take running in a normal fps. Titanfall is easily the most fun I've had gaming this year.

I conducted a "Shooterpalooza" last night on my X1 -- played BF4, Destiny and Titanfall consecutively to make a fresh, objective comparison.

All three games are fantastic. But the fun, balanced "HOLY SH*T" gameplay of Titanfall was the clear winner. What a game.

The Season Pass is just $8.25, too. While I suspect this is a way to generate some sales before there is a tidal shift in gamers moving to Halo, that is a good deal on all of the content.

Titanfall is scaling the ranks among my all-time favorite shooters. It's so much fun. So balanced. Such a cool variety of maps, weapons and loadouts.

I LOVE this game. I also own Battlefield 4, Destiny and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, all excellent shooters. But Titanfall reigns supreme by some margin.

My only regret about Titanfall is that I didn't buy it the same day I bought my Xbox One! :)

Guess I'll actually have to give Titanfall a chance on the PC tonight...as I just bought a new 27" WQHD monitor that I need to break in. Good as time as any at $10.

Thanks.

It's good to see this game making a bit of a resurgence with this new co-op pack, or at least I guess that's what's responsible for it? I bought the Titanfall bundle back in April, thinking my sons would be into it. For some reason, they didn't get hooked by it. They're both heavily into League of Legends and the first person shooter just isn't that appealing to them anymore. The most fun they got out of it was watching me try to play it. They laugh so hard at my ineptitude with it that they have tears coming out of their eyes. I apparently just make myself a sitting duck, with no awareness of what's going on around me. If I last more than a minute after a respawn, I consider it a victory. Unfortunately, I'm such a liability to anyone else in the game counting on me for any kind of support that the hook that would have on me doesn't get set. It's just a boot it up every two or three weeks, tool around in it for 15 minutes and then put it back on the shelf fascination for me.

You'll live much longer in the co-op game, JC. Much more strategic. Teamwork is essential, too, especially when five nuke titans are bearing down on the harvester simultaneously!

I find that I have more success in Titanfall than any other fps in recent years. The last fps game I didn't feel totally inept at was Shadowrun (any chance I get to throw a Shadowrun reference I take!). This game just suits my playing style and ability. I'm not quite sure why I put this on the shelf for so long but throwing it in last week reminded me of how good the game is. My brother and his son were over this past weekend and they have a PS4. I showed them Titanfall and now they want an Xbox One.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.
