Weird, seems like a connection issue. Did you try connecting the controller via usb cable?

Don't forget to go into settings with the controller connected and see if there are any updates. I just updated both of mine yesterday.

Sony was suppose to release 'shareplay' back in Sept. Well it's mid october, where is it? Anyone know what's going on?

After a couple of reboots, my friends' list still won't show. Or I should say it does but they are all offline. What gives? Anyone else having this issue?

It's an xbox live issue:

It's widespread, and has been going on since sometime yesterday.

Xbox Support has been updating that they are working on it, but have stopped the 30 minute updates they were giving. I suspect it has to do with the October Update, but that is just speculation. I'm thinking they are getting ready to release it, and are prepping friends app for it.

I love XBox Live as much as the next guy but I do find it amusing that they get a pass when their network sh*ts the bed and Sony gets crucified.

Maybe thats cause Live has been great for a decade and psn has been total s*** that has done nothing of note but get hacked?

Here's the thing. PSN had a s*** network on PS3 but it got a pass because it was free. Now you have to pay $50/yr on PS4 for the same s*** PSN as in the PS3 days. You would think with an added subscription fee they could add a few basic things say from 2004, like notifying you on screen with a pop up when your friends come online???? That's the only thing I'm asking for. Is it that hard to do????? XBL has had that since forever.

Also it would be nice to get some basic apps like youtube and HBO GO. XBL has had HBO GO for 3/4 years now. PSN is still 'negotiating' the last 3 years, whatever that means.

Oh and the 'FREE DRIVECLUB' for PSN Plus members. That has become a farce and killed any interested I had for the game. I don't even bother checking if they'll ever offer it now.

One big difference is that Live's version of "shitting the bed" means I can play games, I can play online, and still use SmartGlass to access my friends list. When I booted up Madden, the shitted bed downloaded the new rosters automatically.

But yeah, other than that, it's just the same.

It was never set for September but in the fall when the 2.0 software update is released.

That would be a pretty awesome bundle, but they are still selling the Forza bundle.

If you pick up the AC bundle and spend $30 on EA Access, you would instantly have 8 games to play for $429. Rumors are that at some point this holiday season Microsoft will run a deal like before where they also give away a free game that will stack on a bundle, which could make it nine games for that price. I'd still drab the Kinect version for $100 extra, but the new October Update has really streamlined snapping apps and the quick recording by using the controller.

Microsoft seems willing to bail on the Kinect completely at this point. There is still Fantasia and some other games that make use of it, but I think Microsoft has accepted that it was killing sales, not adding them.

That's what I did with the Madden 15 Kinect-less bundle along with free game provided to Xbox One buyers during the third week of September. I had Madden 15 and Destiny from bundle/freebie, and FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and Need For Speed Rivals (VERY, VERY underrated game -- fantastic fun) from Access right out of the box for $429 with my Xbox One. Not a bad launch lineup.

Of course, I've added more games since then.

But I'm stoked with the Kinect-less One. Absolutely zero regrets about the purchase.

PSN is down....again. Between the shoddy performance and the Driveclub Playstation + debacle it's been a bad month for PSN. Meanwhile, Live is killing it.

I just updated, went to turn off the XONE and it froze with a black screen. Had to completely pull the power.

I agree, just seems that all the s*** falls on Microsoft when, to be honest, I've played and enjoyed my XBONE far more than my PS4.
