Thanks boys.
Re: Forza Horizon 2
I've seen pro and expert drivatars but haven't raced any because I just assumed they were low payouts like the 250 CR you usually get offered at the end of each championship race. Finished 15 championships last night and unlocked the first final championship race that took me 18 1/2 minutes to complete driving a Ferrari, ended up getting a little over 1.3 million credits for winning that one. I was exclusively doing the championships to get to that first final, now I can get caught up on the barn find cars and mix some racing up in between.TCrouch wrote:Anybody run across one of the "Pro Drivatars" yet? I saw a target on my minimap tonight and went and beat it, and got over 50,000 credits for one short head to head race![]()
Now Anna is sending me updates anytime one of those "bounty" drivatars are in the area haha

Had a challenge to get a 15,000 XP Bonus Board that was on top of a pallet of boxes in the airport hanger, only way to get it was to make a run down the hill and jump through the window to reach it, took me about 20 minutes to get the jump lined up just right.

Re: Forza Horizon 2
Broke down and bought this game yesterday and I'm glad I did. It's indeed the next-gen successor to Forza Horizon! The only thing I don't like about it is the silly off-road races through terrain that anything less than an army tank would be willing to traverse!? I don't see the point of mowing down pear trees and grapevines in an exotic sports car
It seems I have to endure them for a while until I can qualify for club status and other online perks. Hopefully, there will be a way to avoid them in the future.
Everything else about this game just kicks a$$. I love racing against the drivatars, many of which are plugged in here at DSP... and Leebo, so far, you rule the Forza Horizon 2 Championship world in which I'm participating

Re: Forza Horizon 2
Yeah, that's how I felt in the beginning too. However, these "through the vineyards" races have given me some of the most exciting, yell out loud, moments I've ever had in a racing game so I'm no longer complaining.J_Cauthen wrote:The only thing I don't like about it is the silly off-road races through terrain that anything less than an army tank would be willing to traverse!? If it wasn't for the bushy trees, it would be so much more fun.Leadfoot5 wrote:Yeah, that's how I felt in the beginning too. Re: Forza Horizon 2
I could probably just play the Montellino gravel road tracks exclusively. They are crazy fun. I'm made this from one of my races in that area. I got off to a terrible start, came back to close in on third place, only to be wiped out. I might haverewinded, but the music matching the gameplay too well. And it was even more perfect with my pathetic finish.

That was badass. I'm liking the game more than I thought. I'll be opening the club in my next session. Might be on late tonight.XXXIV wrote:Ride that f***in wave!vader29 wrote:Had a challenge to get a 15,000 XP Bonus Board that was on top of a pallet of boxes in the airport hanger, only way to get it was to make a run down the hill and jump through the window to reach it, took me about 20 minutes to get the jump lined up just right.

Had a moment like that, just got into the lead in the final turn, racing down a long home stretch listening to the ending of the 1812 Overture.Aristo wrote:...the music matching the gameplay too well.

I've been going with manual trans, ABS and TCS on. Just bumped up drivatar difficulty to "highly skilled", or whatever it is that is one step up from "average."TheTruth wrote:What difficulty settings is everyone playing on?
Very playable and forgiving, but if I'm not taking fast lines I'll drop down to 4th or 5th.

Thats my station! Love it. Too bad they don't have more selections.Pete1210 wrote:Had a moment like that, just got into the lead in the final turn, racing down a long home stretch listening to the ending of the 1812 Overture.Aristo wrote:...the music matching the gameplay too well.
Love "V"agner when Im coming home and the " bad news bears" when Im choking.

Had one shitty moment tonight when I beat the cargo plane and the game froze right after. Had to do it again. I like that car. Dont remember what it was?
Spins. Not a fan. Have gotten 5 cars in 47 spins.
Like Naples I have a man trans with abs and tcs on. Stab control off.
The game is a nice change of pace from F5 where every mistake is punished. Here you just keep on keeping on and it all works out well.

Great question!
I am sure at some point we will do bad things to each other.
As for settings, I think we could convene a club counsel and get em uniform. Gotta have manual trans.... Its more more.

Oh no, I am a wimp. Have been racing on auto with traction off and no aid lines. Unless you can show me that I can really shave mini seconds off driving manual.XXXIV wrote:Great question!

That was a lot of fun last night. At least when I got in the an appropriate vehicle.

Re: Forza Horizon 2
How can you guys race with no racing aid lines???? I don't necessarily need them for the braking, but I feel like I'd be completely lost directionally without them.
XBL Gamertag: Spooky Disco
Re: Forza Horizon 2
That's why I keep the braking lines on. So many different tracks and they show enough visually through turns to keep in the right direction, especially helpful with the off road racing.Spooky wrote:How can you guys race with no racing aid lines????
