Just started the download, it is 10.42 GB. Wasn't listed in the store yet, found it using the bing search.

I'm reading that the game is visually stunning and incredibly fun. And now, I am super freaking jealous!!! 8)

I will download this demo as soon as I set up my One. Hopefully it arrives at my local Best Buy by Saturday, as scheduled!

Looking forward to racing with you f*ckers with the full game! Infected, golf course -- HELL, YEAH! :)

Definitely stunning, and the controls are just what you'd expect from a Forza game. The cockpit view is an absolute blast on the Horizon-style roads filled with traffic. Demo seems to be REALLY meaty, too. There's a large chunk of map to drive on and a couple of races to hit up. I think the initial run to the festival was several miles long.

Any sightings of Goliath, Terry? Races on that 20.65-mile course were INSANE in Horizon. So much fun. I hope Horizon 2 has at least one track at least that long.

I actually thought about that when I started it

I'm sure there will be something nutty, but I barely had 15 minutes with it before I had to come back to work. Especially coming from a 360, if your first experience on the new gen is going to be firing up Forza or Horizon, you are going to soil yourself. It's freaky how good those games look for a console.

Also, you'll really appreciate the tactile feedback in the triggers. If you have to use a controller to drive, feeling the triggers vibrate to tell you that the tires are breaking loose under power or braking cannot be understated.

Agreed, very meaty demo. This is what a demo should be. I have only played through the first couple races, but the new cross country races are wild, and hard. AI can be made to be VERY challenging. Also very cool that I was able to start the download using the XBox One Smartglass App and it was finished by the time I got home for lunch. I am still super excited for this game, as Forza Horizon was my most played game of my entire Xbox 360 lifespan. The only thing that I have found underwhelming so far was the race in the rain. Not only did it look very cartoony, and not like any of the preview videos I have seen, there was seemingly no impact to how I drove the track. I was trying to slip and slide and could not. This was with all assists turned off. The control with the wheel is very good, but I don't get the sense that the force feedback is dialed in the way it is in Forza 5. This is just nit-picking though. I have already pre-ordered the Day One Ultimate Edition currently on sale for $89.99 [Edit: if you bought a season pass in Forza 5 you get the $10.00 off]

Yep, this is great fun. There is something so surreal about flying down the highway, only to see a pack of Drivatars crossing in front of you from a wooded area on the left ansi not the field on the right. Online or off, this has the feel of a living, breathing world where folks are off doing crazy fun stuff.

The offroading has made some of the NPC cars that get in your way an interesting obstacle. Instead of just getting in your way, you risk veering off the road, dodging trees and trying to get back you the race. I had some Sunday driver just pull out right in front of me, and it was this crazy harrowing mini adventure. This is exactly why I think the Drivatars, as crazy as they sometimes drive, will be a blast in this game. When you race, it is not just a bunch of cars seeking the driving line, it is a bunch of drivers scattered and jockeying for position, sometimes as you cresting a hill, catching air, and trying to hit the checkpoint.

And there is plenty of highway racing and driving, too. Basically, it is as great as I was really hoping and thinking it would be. And preorders are up. You get a $10 discount on the two packages with extra cars and 2x XP if you bought a season pass in Forza 5. They run $60, $80, and $100. The two extra versions are listed as $70 and $90 in my store.

Great demo. ( except when you get paused to pick which version of the game you will pre order.)

Looking forward to a second next gen game.

Ugh!! It won't work for me. :( Just get a black screen after the Turn10 and MS intro screens fade away.

Have tried deleting and re-downloading, but have the same problem. At least one other person has had the same problem on the Forza forum, but it doesn't sound wide spread. What a bummer. :(

Wow great demo. Sealed a day one purchase for me. My only gripe is I have to sit through the long intro every time I want to play.

I an not seeing any friends in the Rival events or Speed Traps/Speed Zones. Is no one playing, or is the Friends List/Rivals not working in the demo?

Not working in the demo. I thought the same thing, but then I saw you playing--and I knew that your time would have shown up, but it didn't.

Also, looking at the global leaderboard, it's just the nameless AI guys with their times on it, so it's not tied to anything yet, it seems.

Eurogamer gave the game a 9 out of 10. They say it's now the benchmark for open world racing games this year and the cockpit cam is the best they've ever seen.

I'd reckon it's a good thing when the only thing that can be said that's BAD about the game is the paint jobs from the users are ugly. LOL.
