I preordered Destiny to play the beta with the full intention of canceling it (hate MMOs) and switching the money over to Forizon 2.

I love Forza, but this is going to be much closer to what I like in racing games.

The main reason I broke down and finally got the Xbox One was due to the announcement of Horizon 2 (even though it is also being released on 360).

I bought it for $15 at Walmart and I think it was on sale on XBL for $5-10 awhile back.

Great video on the social features of FH2 in the Gamescon hub on XB1. One tidbit - there are specially designed areas for King of the Hill and Infected game modes.

Our good friend Brian Ekberg (BBReBozo) has just posted the Turn 10 Forza Motorsport Week in Review and there is some interesting Forza Horizon 2 news regarding Forza Rewards, as well as some of the differences between the Xbox One and 360 versions of the game.

Rewards in Horizon 2

If you’re a longtime Forza Faithful, you probably know about Forza Rewards by now, so I won’t go into all the details about how they work. However, this week we did break down the Tier Level rewards that will be available in Forza Horizon 2 through Rewards. There are some cool cars – believe me, one drive in the 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter is all you’ll need to be convinced it’s one of the best brand new cars in the game; and it will be available to all Tier 5 and above players on Day 1. The Forza Horizon 2 Rewards are cumulative, too; you get the Rewards car for your current Tier Level as well as every Tier Level below you. If you’re Tier 6 on Day 1, you’ll get all five cars delivered to your Forza Horizon 2 garage.

So, with all of that said, how’s your Rewards Tier Level looking? Got some points to earn and a Tier Level or two to jump? You’ve still got time to earn some points and get some awesome cars in Horizon 2.

Forza Horizon 2: Xbox One vs. Xbox 360

On Monday, we posted a story that detailed the Xbox 360 version of Forza Horizon 2. In that same story, we also discussed some of the functional differences between the Xbox 360 version of Horizon 2 and the Xbox One version. As most of you know, some of the features in Horizon 2 are only possible on the Xbox One version of the game. Some of these features include Drivatar opponents, dynamic weather, and our “instantly online” suite of features. In addition, while the Xbox 360 version of Horizon 2 will also feature more than 200 cars at launch, the list of cars will differ from those found on Xbox One. According to the Turn 10 forums, the FH2 demo should be ready for download in the US on XBox One around 9:00am EDT, It is a whopping 12gb.
