Over there years there have been probably many players who've had problems in this area -- people used to joke about Jim Brown having his way. Now with social media and cameras everywhere, they can't keep in under wraps.

What Rice did was unforgivable, especially now with the video.

But some can make comedy out of the topic. Here's Chris Rock on domestic abuse, about 25 minutes in:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJFS5AFcNtw

(He talks about OJ just before, from 20:00 in, before going on domestic abuse).

How did Goodell and those in charge at the Ravens think she ended up knocked out? Do they think we are that stupid as a society that we MUST see something to know what happened?

Eventually I bet it comes out Goodell knew about the video and he will be forced to step down.

I'm no lawyer but in theory, without that video, it could be said she tripped fell and hit her head to get knocked out. You can't prove it didn't happen that way without the video. Just saying. We all know how the law can be manipulated.

Back to football.

Nice night for the Lions and s*** night for the Giants.

Lions get the big win but still seemed lost as without their bad penalties they had a shut out. Something just wrong with these guys.

Sorry, but it's hard for me to give two $hits about any of this when the NCAA just gave Penn St. a pat on the head and welcomed them back to the game. I guess 18 months is enough time away for helping to run a child rape factory.

I'm not sure why he needs to resign. He f***ed up with the 2 game suspension for sure but resign. It so easy to use hindsight especially when you're a reporter trying to make a story. I loved the questions of "You had to know there was another tape didn't you ask for it?" Yet not one MEDIA or NEWS member asked for it. That is their job, but until it came out from f***in TMZ who is better at getting news then most major networks none of these professional journalist gave a s***.

It's gotten to the point that I can even stomach the news because no one takes the time to actual find the facts on the story.

At least (alleged wife beater) Floyd Mayweather chimed in and said the NFL was too harsh in how it handled the Ray Rice suspension. :)

So allegedly the NFL was in fact sent the video back in April. The NFL is denying it but I wonder if this pushes Goodell out the door.

Mayweather isn't an alleged female beater. He served time for beating one of his girlfriends in front of their children.

He may be an incredible boxer, but Mayweather is a piece of sh*t as a human being. You'll come to that deduction after watching the first five minutes of any of the "24/7" shows on HBO leading into his fights.

It kind of sucks to realize after this week the Bears season will be over. Is this what you Rams fans feel like every year?

For the most part, over the last 10 years, yes. There were a couple of years when it took longer.

This year it was three weeks before the season started.

You are a more realistic Bear fan but I guarantee You the Bears win this week and the talk shows will be talking superbowl.

Monday morning drives to work are always great radio fun in Chicago. Win or lose.

TMZ released the tape just hours after they (finally) got it. It wasn't like they had it since April & were just sitting on it. The casino wasn't giving it to the media. It took some casino employee that was about to get laid off to sell it on the side. The fact the NFL apparently had it this whole time & the commish either: didn't know, didn't want to see it, or lied about it - is the problem. The NFL just needs a smart person who can make them money & avoid PR disasters like this. What's the point of actually keeping him? I can't see an upside to it.
