Microsoft is taunting me this week with its deal of a free game with any Xbox One purchase, including bundles. So someone could buy the Madden 15 One bundle for $399 and get another free game. $519 worth of goodies for $399.
Damn. Wish my rental property would sell!
Maybe it's time to head to the local casino this weekend.

F*ck, now I'm doing the math on trades, stuff around the house I have to sell, no-interest financing at Best Buy.
Wondering out loud if the price wars will be even more fierce on Black Friday. Will I be able to get a One with two games for $399 on the last Friday in November? Any GS or BB employees with insider trading tips?
I'm 49 years old, with kids in tons of organized sports and the first of three kids going to college in two years. Yet I'm teetering toward buying a new video game system. What the hell is wrong with me?

I hadn't really thought about it being used that way so that make sense. I'm more thinking of you and a friend are in the middle of playing and it ends, idk what the procedure entails for starting a new session.
No doubt that would be a terrible implementation, so hopefully they have some obvious timer or way of handling it so you don't get disconnected mid-game without notice.
Same affliction I have had for 29 years......you have an entire support group right here.....I'm 56 as of last month and looking for more ways to play real Golf and my gaming time was non-existent until the Golf Club released last week. On top of being in New Orleans, Vancouver, Dubai, and Rio de Janeiro in successive weeks, leaves little time to play Golf or video games. I have a completely new outlook on life since being diagnosed with prostate cancer back in June and waiting to find out what the mass is growing on my spine so I can get down to kicking this latest road block in the ass. MD Anderson in Houston is a phenomenal hospital that I highly recommend for any kind of cancer.
PK, just take each new day as a blessing and live it as if it were your last one.....sorry for the off topic comments, but your quoted comment just rang a bell with me and I had to support you letting you know you aren't alone. Hope you get a next gen system because they are fun with the new games. Best of Luck getting the 3 kids through college and still maintaining financial viablility....LOL. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt........
Divot, sorry to hear about your prostate cancer. Stay strong and with proper medication and care you'll conquer the damn disease. At least I see you still scoring well at TGC.

Thank you. Found it early. However, I just had a spinal biopsy on August 18th done on tissue surrounding my T-7 vertebra and bone samples as well and waiting to find out what this is because it could complicate things tremendously. They now have 3 pathologists looking at it and they tell me they still don't know what it is. That concerns the hell out of me. Sorry to take this off topic folks. I should have responded in PM......
Back on topic.....yeah, I have some good rounds and some not so good, but I am getting better with each round as my understanding of the swing properties improves. I notice you are getting quite a few rounds in as well. Are you liking the game? In some ways, it is the best PLAYING videogame of Golf I have ever played.
Sorry to hear that divot. Hopefully you will find the time to get back on the golf course, and the health problems will be easy to take care of. Good luck.
If I take the One plunge, I will get the Madden 15 bundle for $399, plus one free game with the MS offer next week.
My immediate instinct was to get Forza 5 as the freebie. But Forza Horizon 2 is released at the end of this month, and that would be a MUST-buy for me. And I really don't want two of the games in my limited library to be Forza titles.
I have zero interest in getting the current version of an EA or 2K Sports non-football title since FIFA, NHL and NBA all will see new flavors swirling on gamers' tastebuds within a month or two.
I'm leaning toward a shooter. What's the most enjoyable shooter on the One? Is BF4 really that much better on the One other than the 64-player online sessions? Is it just an evolutionary step from the 360 version, which I love?
What shooter shows off the technical and gameplay abilities of the One the best?
Thanks.

Hope it goes well, Divot. This sh*t just got real in this thread!!
But PK, I would go out on a limb and say get Destiny on Tuesday as far as showing off technical and gameplay abilities.
But if you absolutely HATED Halo or the Borderlands style of building a character, you're probably better off with BF4 or something. My son and I play some BF4 on the PS4 together, and it certainly looks better than the 360, but worse than on PC. If you want a traditional shooter, you can't really go wrong with it at this point (at launch was an entirely different story, as it had massive server problems).

I would agree with this, especially if he decides to go the Madden bundle and then he could still pick up Destiny for free. I also enjoyed Wolfenstein and still haven't finished the game on the PS4. But hey if graphics and technical specs are not that important there's no better fun than Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare in the shooting department. Tons of characters, infinite customizing and a lot of fun shooting at zombies or plants. MP only, your kids would like it PK.

PK, I played the Destiny alpha and beta and that son of a b*tch is a beast of a game. If you are looking for a game to "show off" the tech capabilities of the XB1 then go no further than Destiny. When I first saw it on my 60" Vizio I gasped. That only happens occasionally. BF4 is nice but you won't be blown away.
