The lack of info from EA is the most disgusting part of this disgrace.

They are such f***in pigs.

I couldn't find any word on the 15 demo for 360. I wonder of there's going to be one, as there you could see if gameplay is at all improved.
Yeah unfortunately it looks like there is no demo for the 360 and my season ticket expires the Friday that the game would be released early and I am not renewing it this year so I guess word of mouth from guys here or videos will be the only way to see how it plays on the old gen.
Well that sucks i guess ill blindly just purchase the 360 game then EA...NOT!!!!

And i really thought they had improved the 360 version this year, i did read they implemented the physics in gen 3 ? must be so awesome they dont want to show it.

"EA also went into depth as to how they’ll be using the increased power of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The crowd will now be made up of more than 9000 unique models, with a more in depth level of programing that aims to give more emotion to the crowd. The players and puck have also been rebuilt from the ground up for more enhanced realism, EA said."

Yeah baby! Mystery solved! They worked on the f***in crowd for two years!

Why they only charging $59?

I think it's pretty clear the dev team only works on one game at a time. They don't have the resources of FIFA or Madden to do two games at once, so they haven't been working on this next gen version for 2 years.

It sucks no EASHL, and I'll be pretty bitter if their patched-in OTP is half assed and never truly completed.

Really their greatest sin was trying to hide no EASHL right up to release.

Inexcusable.

Disgraceful at the VERY LEAST.

Just say it. They are assholes. It is what they are.

But I'm still giving the assholes $60 September 9th.

Now, when the game plays like ass, I will be in for some serious crow eating.

NHL sells around 400k yearly, not really that much. The game is viewed more as a novelty to the EA brass. If we are to believe the backlash of leaving EASHL out for next gen, then I expect retailers to start discounting the game after the standard 2 week time frame after release. I am not sure now I'll get it for $60, but $40 maybe. But maybe the demo will be enough for me this year since I haven't played any offline modes in the series since NHL 10.

Well, well, well, EA has finally made its decision about next gen and previous gen features and everyone's not happy, man, I never saw that coming.

So the previous gen gets EASHL and next gen gets a patched in update with OTP(does everybody remember the fun we had with NHL Rivals?). Personally, I think it's a win-win for all. For 360 owners(like myself), I can continue to enjoy the thrill of EASHL without having to go buy a system that would only be played for just one purpose. The nextgen owners get to play OTP with all the bells and whistles with prettier graphics.

I just don't get all the whining and bitching going on with the NHL fans. Hockey is a niche sport and I think we're blessed to have a game that we enjoy. The hockey crowd is dwarfed by the FIFA and NFL crowd/fans, I say get whatever game suits your needs and enjoy.

I know I have just upset some of you and that's okay, hopefully we can meet each other online and give each other cyber hugs and share cyber brewskis, if not, then I'm wearing gasoline draws walking through hell, and I say, " flame away".

No doubt for you guys south of the border. But up here in the North Mr RamJag needs at least 10 security guards wherever he's going. Not sitting well at all for us Canuckheads at all.

FINALLY!!! A reason for 360 only owners to be happy :)

Seriously though, this is a very confusing move by EA. What will the options be
for online play for One owners?

1v1 only, and partial version of OTP(maybe if they patch it in) oh yea and HUT i guess, dunno never touched it.
used to be able to have guests play up to 4 on 4 i believe from the same console , thats gone so even 1v1 has been hit a little.

I can't believe they are incapable of just doing a simple online league. It never needed to be this overbearing Connected BS.
