Well, I had mine preordered for the X1 but if there's enough Dragons switching back to the 360 just for EASHL, I'll be there too even though I would just hate to give them more money as all of you.

Guess how they are going to trumpet the '16 version?

I think you "semi" fall into that category. We all know some of the insane diehards we see on EASHL that probably solely play NHL that want to stomp Rammer like a narc at a bikers rally. Prick.

I'm canceling my preorder. Still got Destiny on 9/9, which should keep me plenty busy.

From the Rammer interview this is what struck me as the good and the bad.

The Bad: 'So just getting the game up and running was a challenge in NHL 15, as it was on all of the sports titles on the new consoles'. Hmm, don't think that was the case with Fifa, instead the next-fen brought better controls to the gameplay.

The Good: 'I’m committed to EASHL, the franchise is committed to EASHL. Our goal is not to just bring over the EASHL you knew from Gen-3, but to do it bigger and better. We want to engage the community and get their feedback, and have them help build that experience with us'.

We'll hold to those words for sure.

Thinking about this more, it's definitely a pick your poison situation.

Information is still ludicrously vague for a game so close to release, and it seems the post release adding of OTP to next gen is unplanned emergency response. My best guess is they were noncommittal about the mode the last few months of development, decided to cut it, and are now scrambling after the online shitstorm.

Regarding 360 version, I think most of the gameplay improvements won't make it. I bet the puck and player physics aren't there. AI's a maybe.

Regarding XB1, it appears that OTP will be phased updates, the first of which will be with randoms drop ins only and NHL players. Then they will add joining games with friends. I see no commitment regarding playing OTP with created pros, so who knows if that will ever get added.

I think I am going to get it on XB1. I'm going to prioritize gameplay improvements, and I do enjoy HUT and online VS. I'd rather play a new game and sacrifice EASHL and be patient on OTP then spend another year where gameplay will be largely indistinguishable from last year.

My American Dream Plan B (a little nod to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers new song) will be to keep my Xbox 360 version of NHL 14 and save up my pennies for a year to buy an Xbone for NHL 16.

Hint, hint, can't the Ice Dragons continue to play our EASHL games on Xbox 360 NHL 14?

I'll check out the demo on 360 to see what it feels like, not sure there will be many teams left to play on 14 with others moving on to next gen, some staying with 15 on the current gen and others boycotting for a year. At least I can put off getting a next gen system for a while longer now as the EASHL was the only reason I had to get one this year.

Not going to get the XB1 version as all I play is EASHL. Wouldnt be much point in that for me.

Would be ideal if we could play on 14 as I really am in no mood to give these clowns any more hard earned money than I really have to.

I was thinking of getting Madden and FIFA this year but I am contemplating a complete boycott until EASHL is back in the game. So maybe FIFA for clubs. Madden is pretty much DOA now.

I know they wont miss my $120-180 but I would.

Still disgusted.

I will be keeping my copy of 14, and I presume it will still work after 15 comes out.

I couldn't find any word on the 15 demo for 360. I wonder of there's going to be one, as there you could see if gameplay is at all improved.

15 on last gen probably won't be too different than 14. They admitted they worked almost exclusively on next gen this year. Also based off ea track record I won't expect any major improvemts for last gen games.

Pure Speculation: EASHL becomes a stand alone product. $9.95/month.

I can see that happening eventually.

Yeah, **** that. While I love club nights as much as the next Dragon, that'll be the day I gladly dedicate a bunch of time to getting through the rest of my enormous backlog.

Honestly, I could see them monetizing the boosts more by making the "unlock during play" methods more out of reach. While I generally loathe microtransactions, I'd find that more palatable than a subscription fee.

I wouldn't. At least with a subscription fee you know what you are getting up front and the "whales" as they say don't have an unfair advantage because they spent $1k on super golden accuracy boosting stick tape. I'm not much of a multiplayer gamer so this doesn't effect me much but I feel for all of you Dragons regulars. I honestly think the NHL development team are doing their best to make a good hockey game but the fact is that the suits at the top make the calls on where to prioritize development time. This is why a micro transaction mode like HUT is still in the game while EASHL didn't make the final cut.

My dumb ass will be getting the XB1 version regardless. I will barter a few old games to cover the cost of the 360 version if you guys are going that direction. EASHL is too fun. I think these f***ers know how addicted we are to club games and are like drug dealers on the corner saying, " go ahead...it'll make you feeeeeel good."

While I hear you in principle, I'm talking about boosts consummate with what they have today, which would add, optionally, between 15-20 dollars max. Compared to 10 bucks a month, it would be a bargain especially since we play pretty much year round.

Eashl has micro transactions thats what makes me believe that someone really dropped the ball on this one by not getting it in.
Even i went against my norm and purchased a couple of boost packs in 14.
They are losing a s*** load of extra cash by not putting EAshl in.

Dont forget losing money from people that wont be buying the game at all. EASHL was not the only mode they are leaving out.

SERIOUSLY....What the f*** did these douchebags do with that extra year? FIFA clubs must only be 2 on 2.

What EPIC failures these f***in assholes are.

Yeah unfortunately it looks like there is no demo for the 360 and my season ticket expires the Friday that the game would be released early and I am not renewing it this year so I guess word of mouth from guys here or videos will be the only way to see how it plays on the old gen.
