I told RamJag on Twitter that the Ice Dragons decided to go with the Xbone for NHL 15 and that I only have a PS4 and could not afford to buy an Xbone right now. He asked me if I still have my XBox 360 and said with a wink, "don't worry son, just buy NHL 15 for Xbox 360".

From a biz point of view, there's no doubt that HUT makes them more profitable than EASHL. While far still from the success of FUT, it attracts an increasing audience every season. But to take it out completely from the next-gen, it just feels cheap.

Wouldn't be surprised if these fools try to get the most from Sony and MS and include it as an exclusive mode for the winning bidder.

Their complete silence at this juncture of the year just weeks prior to the release of '15 speaks volumes to the core of their clientele.

Honestly, I think they just didn't get it ready in time for the next gen versions. It seems that they also have no way to play an online league, which is asinine, too.

But honestly, I play 90% of my time in career mode and Play Now. I then spend some time in HUT, but I avoid spending any money on it. So they are hitting the modes that matter to me personally.

i wouldn't mind seeing 2K get back into the game, but the last few games they did were pretty bad. I think 2K6 or 2K7 was the last one I really enjoyed. But they have really locked down presentation, and even with the extra emphasis this year, it still lacks the presentation of 2K's basketball, baseball and football games.

Lol, EA and TSN.ca advertised a live demo of the gameplay that was to be aired today on Twitch. Out of curiosity, I wandered by only to witness a cesspool of EASHL rage spammers and an inevitable delay of an hour until this message showed up in the chat:

OTP is a bunch of human players each controlling a different guy on the ice. And it's supposed to be added in a free update.

Now word is that the OTP patch is for using NHL players, not created players.

Honestly if I can play OTP with created players I'm okay. We can still play group/party games, and I never gave two shits about what division of EASHL we were in or the playoffs or whatever. It's was just hanging out and playing games. I also play a ton of drop in games.

Now if it's OTP just using real NHL players, that's a little different.

Why are they selling it for $60 still. Read the interview and he says the only thing different from last gen is the commentary. Built from core up my ass. Game looks like a graphical update from last gen and with probably worse ai. He gave no reason to buy it except that they worked hard on it.

Just delay damn game then.

Ea can't hide anymore. This is worse then madden 06.

Well, the writing was on the wall, but damn... the nail in the coffin sucks.

And I'm torn on what to do. I certainly have no intention of buying at launch now. I'll probably wait for OTP or a $30 price point, whichever happens first.

I think if the sales numbers show the sharp decline of people voting with their wallets, then they will deserve every hit on their totals. But then, what does that do for viability of the franchise?

Frigging depressing though. This mode should have been a priority from day one. And I have a little trouble buying the "it's a complex mode with twelve independent players" excuse. While I'm sure the new gen consoles have seen an overhaul of net code, it's a mode that has been working for, what, 5 years on last-gen hardware?

Just copied what i wrote at OS.

Hes saying it took so long to get the 12 man physics in there and working properly that there wasnt much time left for everything else.
That is all well and good but as others have said it doesnt look much different.
So unless it feels different and the ai is really good they wont be getting my money on next gen.

BUT.

If they have changed the physics and ai on current gen for the better then its not so bad, just have to play on current gen for another year. Thats not so bad really is it for us EASHLers.
Now saying all that if the demo doesnt nail all of that then they can kiss my arse.
Worst case ill have more time for Fifa Clubs so the bastards are still getting my money i really would like to stick it to them but i cant the clubs mode is just too much fun most of the time.

Yeah, I just want the new gameplay improvements (puck and player physics, AI...)

If most of that is being put into "last gen" versions, I will just get it for 360.

If next gen has better gameplay and decent OTP, I will get it for XB1.

Unfortunately those questions are still unanswered.

Was thinking about Madden but thats probably out. Maybe FIFA . Maybe. See how I feel about it in the morning.

Depends on the demo. If 360 is improved with ai and physics maybe 15 as it will play better in clubs. Big if tho. It will have to impress otherwise its just going to be fifa for me.
